Shopping Haul: Zara & Victoria's Secret

Hey everyone!

So over the weekend I ended up heading over to the mall to see if there was any sales, and I also needed a few things for work, I went into Zara and noticed that almost their whole store was on sale... SCORE! Zara is one of my most absolute favorite stores to shop for work clothes. I ended up trying on a few things. I got this knee length black skirt that was on sale for $29.99 origial price was $89.99 I think.

Here is a little sneek peek from the change room.

Yes I'm wearing socks.. try not to laugh too hard.. picture it with heels!!! lol

This is the front.. The gold zippers are so pretty!

This is the back of the skirt. I love how the gold goes all the way around the back. I also adore the little pockets on the butt...lol

This is a full length of what the back looks like. It has a very feminine slit at the bottom, which just gives this skirt character

This skirt is super pretty. It's stretchy material so it hugs my body nicely (a tiny bit tight, but the girl in the store told me this skirt will stretch out over time so it was the perfect size for me. It has beautiful gold zippers on the sides and back. The zipper is actually in the front, and the pockets are in the back just like jean pockets would be. It's such a super cute skirt and I just couldn't say no to the price either. Everyone needs a couple of black skirts in their wardrobe!

I ended up pairing it with this mint green top. The top was only $10, but I ended up saying no to it because the material was a little cheap and it was just a tad seethrough. I'm not a huge fan of scrunchy sleeves (just becuase my arms are natually a little more muscular and I didn't want to accentuate that feature on me), so I passed on it. I do however, LOVE the mint green with this skirt, and in general. I am noticing that a lot of pastels are becoming the "in" thing for 2012, so if I can find another flattering mint green top... I'm all in for it! I also really like the neckline of this shirt also. Dang... I wish it wasn't see through and scrunchy :(

Here is a top that I really liked. Yes.. it was a little see through.. lol, but I could easily wear it with a little cami underneth, I just didn't have one at that time. I ended up passing on this shirt as well. This was one of those items that wasn't on sale, and since I am strictly looking for work attire and I'm on a budget, I just couldn't justify it. It definitely is a super cute piece.  Just nice and casual :)

I picked up some new thongs from Victoria's Secret, and they were offering a deal.. Spend $75 and we will give you this duffle bag for FREE! Ummmm.. I'm pretty sure I jumped on that bandwagon. I got a few thongs and a sleep shirt and this lovely bag! Thinking I may use this as either a gym bag, or an overnight bag, not sure yet.

Unfortunatley I had to return the sleep shirt, it didn't fit me well, so I returned it, but they let me keep the bag so I was super happy about that. Watch out for those deals, VS has great bags with good quality, and this bag was a $75 value, plus it's super girlie too!

Did you do any shopping over the weekend? Did you score any fantastic deals? Comment below and tell me!

Have a great day!

Love always,

Navy Here...Navy There..Navy EVERYWHERE!

Hey everyone!

Ugghhh.. I can't tell you how much I regret not buying that Zara coat for fall. I am either giving BF money to go get me it, or I have to wait until next weekend to drive back to that mall. Unfortunately the malls by us don't have a Zara, so I have to make special trips there only on the weekend if I really want to buy something. I found two of them, so here are what they look like.

I love the look of this one because it reminds me of Kate Middleton..Love her!

I liked this one. Doesn't look the best on in the pic, but the blue was more vibrant

It also has a belted waist... It's super cute when it's all buttoned up :)
What do you think? I am obsessed with Navy this season. I think it's tres chic, flattering and goes with any hair/skin tone too! Do you think I should go back and get one of them? Comment below and tell me :)

On to my actual post now.. Yesterday BF and I made a trip to our local mall. His family got him gift certificates there, so I tagged along to see if there was anything I could find. In the summer, I totally found this scarf. It's one of those infinity scarves that doesn't have any ends to it. I got it from Aldo for $10. I have been dying to wear it, so finally today since it was so cold, I wore it over top of my white H&M 3/4 length shirt.

Infinity Scarf Aldo $20

Sorry for the shot of my boobs.

I picked up another long sleeve tee from H&M. Guess what color? lol... Navy blue!

H&M $14.95

My Hair is a mess...sorry!

I also picked up a sweater dress. I wanted one to wear with my tights and knee high brown boots. I thought it was cute and it was only $24.95... Very affordable and budget friendly.

H&M $24.95

I'm going to wear a belt around it. I didn't want to take my jeans off, so picture it with tights and a cute belt.

Lastly, not sticking with the navy blue theme, here are the shoes that BF got.

So that's it folks! I will post OOTD pics of how I pair everything together etc. Just wanted to give you a little glimpse as to what they look like.

I'm off to make some dinner and do some laundry, maybe take pup for a walk. Hope everyone has a fabulous evening and enjoy the rest of your Monday!!! :)

Love,
Mel

A few shopping purchases to share...

Happy weekend everyone!

So far, I am loving my 4 day long weekend. Being off yesterday with puppy while BF was at work, was like old times!!! LOL.. I miss our quality time together while BF is at work. Plus, the weather was amazingly gorgeous!

So... over the past few weeks, I've managed to pick up things here and there, but not enough to really post about. I don't want to show you one thing, than another just to post, I want to show you a few things at a time.

I am so proud of BF, he actually picked out these shoes for me and brought them home! I have wanted a pink-y/nude pair of heels, and he knows how much I love Steve Madden shoes. This was all BF, and they are super comfy too!

Steve Madden pumps - Winners $44.95
Next, I got this Tee below from Zara. I got it a little bigger, because I am loving a my tee's to fit just a bit looser than usual. It's super soft and I have been wearing it paired with dark ripped jeans and high brown boots. Super casual...loves it!

ZARA - $19.99

My next purchase was from one of my favorite stores, Turquoise. I adore this store. Most of their stuff is different than what they have at the malls. It's just a super trendy boutique, and their prices are reasonable too. I have been searching for a slanted one sided shirt. I got it in dark grey and in a medium. I love how it's angled at the bottom. I wore it yesterday (should've taken a pic), with my white shorts and sandles. I love how it can be worn super casual, or super glammed up! One of my fav purchases! It looks adorable with a long necklace, a pair of leggings, and knee high boots :)

Turquoise $39

I got another dress shirt from H&M. This time I got a navy one. So far this season, I am inlove with navy. I think navy is so elegant and pretty. The price was good for my budget too. (sorry, the photo is so blurry.. damn iphone)

H&M - $24.95

Going back to Zara (a favorite store of mine), I got this cute dress. This dress was too cute to pass up. I have been eyeing this dress for quite some time now, so I finally went back and got it. It doesn't come with the belt, but I can pair it with different belts that I have, and different colors too. I love the cap sleeves and the pleated bottom half. I got it in XS because their dresses fit a bit bigger on me. It also has a nice gold zipper in the back. This dress is one of my favs!

ZARA - $79.99

So that's it on my purchases lately. I am working really hard at sticking to a budget, so I can't go crazy wild with spending these days. BF and I are looking at a new house, so saving and paying off some debt is my top priority. However, I always like to save a bit of my paycheck to get a little something for myself!! :)

Now, since BF is watching his Sunday football,  I'm going to laze around with puppy, watch some girlie shows and veg, before we have to head over to BF's parents house for dinner.

Have a great Sunday everyone!

My new Kate Middleton dress & A few other Goodies!

Hey everyone!

Sorry I have been missing in action for the past week. I have been really busy with work. I knew these first few weeks would be the death of me, but working 10-12 hour days is necessary to get caught up, especially with only the doc training me. I literally have to try and figure stuff out on my own while he isn't there.

I almost felt lost without blogging...lol.. it has been a part of my life for a few months now and I'm always so excited when I can sit down and just blog!!!

Sooo.. since I have been pre-occupied with work, I haven't done much shopping (although I'm in desperate need of some new make-up).. NEED to get to a Sephora.. like NOW!!!

Awhile back, I was looking through pics of Kate Middleton (I follow all the K.M style blogs, websites etc.) I came across this blue pleated dress that I just thought was the prettiest outfit. Take a peek...

Isn't it so sweet??? It's a Zara dress, and I actually ordered it online!!! I got a small because I wasn't sure how small the XS would be on me. I'm always so hesitant to order clothes online when I'm not 100% sure. I sometimes find that even though I think I know my size in my fav stores... some things just fit differently!

The dress FINALLY came in yesterday!

It even came with the brown belt!! I tried on the dress and it's just a tad too big for me, but I would rather it be too big than too small, so hopefully I can just play around with it before I get it taken in. The belt definitely doesn't fit, it's too big. I might look into either wearing a black skinny belt that I already own, or I can puncture another hole in the brown one and go from there.. what do you think?

The dress in the pic is totally wrinkled (from shipping it), but I will iron those wrinkles all away..haha. I just LOVE the pleating. I think I'm really into blue this season, and definitely pleats. I think this dress can be worn in so many different ways (sleek and elegant, casual, business-y etc.) I was so excited about this purchase, so I had to share that with you!

The next thing I got was a new mascara. I am inlove with L'Oreal's Million Lashes mascara in black. It is my absolute favorite mascara!!

Even though I have been using Latisse, this mascara just extends my lashes even more. It took me a little bit to get used to the wand, but I honestly love this one. I have tried every brand of drugstore mascara there is, and after a few days of this, it was my ultimate CLW mascara! I tend to throw out mascara if I have had it over 3 months.. Old mascara is just gross and flaky.. so get rid of your old mascara if it's starting to dry up!!

BF and I was at his parents house last weekend. I went to wash my hands and BF's mom had this hand soap from Bath & Body Works that smelt amazing!

It's called Creamy Pumpkin. I'm not even kidding, I was smelling my hands until the scent was gone. Sooo YUM!! Puppy was even trying to lick my hands..lol. Anyhow, she had an extra bottle and gave one to me. It's also so perfect for the fall weather this time of year. I am already getting so much use out of this hand soap. I highly recommend this to everyone! It has a sweet, but warm smell. I love it.. A million thumbs up for this creation!!!

Well folks, that's it for now. I have a four day weekend (thank you new boss!), so I will be writing my little fingers off with blogs.. Need to catch up. I might make my way to the mall tomorrow. I still need to find some things for work, and also get caught up on my make-up situation!

Hope everyone is having a great evening!

Love you all,
xo

OOTD: Zara and H&M

I FINALLY got through these past couple of days at my new job!!! So far, I am exhausted when I get home. I have been working 10-11hr days. It won't normally be like this, but for the first couple of weeks, I need to learn how to run the office and clinics. I absolutely LOVE it so far, but I can't say my stress level is anywhere but up high... ugggh.

I always find it so frustrating starting a new job. I hate not knowing what I'm doing most of the time. I'm kind of just going with it and hoping for the best...lol.. So far, the people have been really sweet and helpful, and I actually get a bit more independence. I do miss my old jobs, but I definitely really like what I've seen so far with this new one... My boss is great, my co-worker is the sweetest, and people I've met throughout the hospital have been so helpful. I don't care if I have to spend 10 hours a day. I want to do a good job, which means putting in the time and working really hard!!!

I just remembered that I haven't had the opportunity to show you my new outfits. As you know, I haven't had much time these past few days, so here is the outfit I wore today. There wasn't a clinic today, so this outfit is a little more on the casual side, but I love it!!!

Top - H&M $19.99
Skirt - Zara $49
Shoes - Black Patent Franco Sarta $44

I want to apologize that it's not the clearest picture. I either have dust on my mirror (gross) or my iphone is just bad!!! Christmas I'm asking for money towards a good camera with extra perfect focus!! LOL

Anyhow, like I said before.. This is just a simple outfit. I absolutely LOVED this Zara skirt. It's a navy blue pleated tulip skirt. I only saw the blue one, but I think there might be a few different colors. I am really loving navy blue for this fall season.

I wasn't really thrilled to wear my black patent Franco Sarta heels with this outfit, but right now since I've just started this job, these are my only really good pair that are dressy and not crazy funk-ti-fied. I want to get a pair of nude heels. I think it would go better than the black. I was thinking about wearing white heels, but then I thought it would be a little bit too matchy matchy!

I also kept my jewellery very simple. Just wore my Swarovski studded earrings and nothing else. Simple.. simple.. simple.. with a side of plain too!! lol. Also, It was raining out when I got home, so my hair is disgusting and gross. Sorry.. lol

Anyhow, hope you all have a fantastic evening and stay tuned for my next OOTD. If you have any suggestions for work clothes, please let me know. I only have about 6 outfits lined up. When I get my first paycheck, I will be hitting up the stores again :)

Shopping Haul: Forever 21 & ZARA

Hey everyone,

Hope everyone is having a FAB day!

I wanted to share some stat-of-the-art buys from my beloved store, Forever 21. I don't get to shop here often because I don't really live all the close to one. BF and I were visiting his new baby cousin, so since there was a F21 near them, we thought we would stop in becasue I have been eyeing a couple of items and wanted to see what they were like in person. BF also really loves this store because the men's clothing fits him really well.

First off...Do you ever find that you absolutely LOVE an item online but when you get it, it sucks galore??? I find that so much of the time that I have stopped buying online. The sizes are always wrong, the colors are not what they are in the pic...Maybe I have just had some awful experiences.

Ok. So I'm not very good at doing the modelling of clothes, so I took these pics infront of a mirror with my iphone with kind of messy hair...LOL.. OH...and you guys can see my air brush tan. Sorry I couldn't get pics when I first got it done, my camera has been acting up lately. By the time it started working, my tan already kind of settled in.

The Pink Top

This pink top is adorable. I should've taken pics from the back as well, but found it difficult to do myself..LOL.. This is like a babydoll top. It kind of flares out and ties at the back. It has crochet design on the front which is so pretty!!! hello love?? P.S puppy is in the back ripping up a receipt.. looks like I'm keeping all these clothes. haha

The Purple Top
This purple top above is beyond cute. It is a little see through, so I think I'm going to have to wear a little tank underneath, but oh my gosh... is this top ever precious!!! It has little bows all over it and is the girliest of tops... The neckline is gorgeous. It has a tiny bit of ruffles and is super comfy. I love the little bit of flare. Cute-ness!

The Rainbow Top
Ok. So I am telling you that I am the worst photographer ever!!! I left the strings hanging on the side. I'm a goofball.. sorry everyone! This rainbow top is tres lovely!! I really really love this one because it has such fun colors. It's also a little see through so I'm going to have to put a tank underneath as well, but it's beautiful. It poofs a bit on the bustline, so it helps puff up those boobies a little...lol.. I love this, it's so cute and flow-y for summer.

The Pink Ruffle Dress
I LOVE this dress. I had to buy it!!! I saw this online and fell in love. They also have a blue one that is so pretty but they didn't have it there so I got the pink one. This dress is a tad big for me, plus my hair is totally hiding the spagetti straps. I usually take small but they didn't have any left, so I got a medium. I can work with it because with the ruffles up top, it kind of lets the dress poof a little, which is ok. Some clothing items I actually enjoy to wear a size bigger if it allows me. I don't like fun, summer dresses to be tight, I like a little flow to it. This is beautiful. I can just see this dress with a cute pair of wedges and some fun jewellery.  Oh..I also bought a little bracelet that I'm wearing in the pics, but you can't really see.

The Purple Flow-y Dress
I guess my theme is pink and purple...lol.. This dress is also super sweet. I really loved the color of this dress. It looks different in this pic, but it's a dusty light purple color and I loved the mesh throughout the dress. It's super fun for summer and I love the tie up in the front. I'm really happy with this buy and I also think this would be fun with some dangly earrings and some fun wedges.

The Green Dragon Dress
Ok. I HAVE to admit. I totally LOVED LOVED loved this dress after I read Veronika's post from Veronika's Blushing. We were at Zara in the mall and I saw it on the mannequin and remembered that she had talked about it. I tried it on and totally fell in love so I bought it. I have a wedding to go to soon so I wanted something new and fun to wear. BF calls this the dragon dress because it is green (even though it looks blue here) and kind of has a tail-y thing to it. Anyhow, I really love this and have to thank Veronika's post for totally influencing me.. It really is, gorgeous!

Here is the back of the dress. Isn't it beautiful? I will probably wear this with my white heels, along with my tiffany key necklace and some bangles and diamond-y earrings. Yes, I left the price tag on because I don't know what I'm doing..haha

Anyhow, hope you enjoyed my buys. Since F21 and Zara had some amazing deals going on, everything was very affordable and I stayed within my budget...YAY!!!

Hope you all have a great evening :)

xoxo
