Fashion Edition Look 1:

Few weeks ago, Ate Myla sent some accessories for me. Instead of just taking pictures of the accessories, I decided to do something extra fun!
This is my first time to do an OOTD (Outfit of the Day) since I'm not a fashionista or whatever! So, I asked the help of my sister (Em) in finding an outfit that will look best for my accessories! Voila! This is the product!
Ate Em decided to go for a girl-y look that is appropriate for summer! Longsleeves, jeans, cardigan, black and darker colors are definitely a NO NO for Summer (especially with the HOT weather here!). During this time of the year, it is best to wear light-colored dresses. White is, for me, just a versatile color for any occasion and season! It is also the color that will look best on any accessories. The one I have in the picture is a one-piece dress with plain white top and a nice pastel color for skirt. I matched my outfit with a high heel platform sandal my sister purchased from Red Saree.
I accessorized my outfit with a ring sponsored by Fabshopaholic. Also, I added white bling bling Guess watch and a random silver bracelet.

Finally, this feather-earings sent by Fabshopaholic are great earings to accessorize the outfit!

But ofcourse, let's not forget my makeup! (After all, this is a makeup blog!)
These are the things I used to do my makeup:
Etude House Drawing eyebrow pencil
Etude House Eyebrow Gel
Sleek Makeup Palette in Storm
Mary Kay Concealer
Mac Fluidline in Blacktrack
Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Pink Flame
Faceshop Extreme Mascara
Maybelline Pure Mineral Pact Foundation
Red Jhelli Circle Lenses in Bella Gray
Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk

Makeup by: Eloisa Co (kikaysimaria)
Styled and Photographed by Emmeline Co
Sponsored by: Fabshopaholic (accessories) and Red Jhelli Shop (contact lenses)

I used the same eye makeup in this REVIEW

Like what I've said before, this is my first time to do this post.
My sister who took the shots is not a professional photographer.
In additional, I am not a Model (which for sure you can tell!)
Everything we did in this post are just for FUN!

APPRECIATE, do not HATE!
I hope you will enjoy this post as much as I enjoyed doing it!
Until my next FASHION EDITION!
(By the way, please help me by suggesting a good name for this outfit! hehe!)

OOTD: Outfit Inspiration

You know when you stuble upon someone with great style and you think... LOVE LOVE how they put together an outfit? Well so many of my daily outfits come from all different blogs. I try to save pictures as my outfit inspirations.. and honestly, I always get so many wonderful comments from co-workers, friends etc... so just a quick shout out to all fashion bloggers out there... Thank you for inspiring me and giving me amazing outfit suggestions!

Here is my outfit from yesterday. Pictures aren't the greatest, but you get the idea.

I'm on 3rd day hair.. .It's a mess I know!! lol

and here is my inspiration for this outfit. It's an outfit by Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere. I thought it was so cute.

I love neutrals with a pop of color. My shirt is from American Eagle. It's a light grey short sleeve with a little pocket at the front. I tucked it into my black pencil skirt from H&M. I also had on black tights with a pair of black pumps. I just had a bright pink scarf to polish off the look. I like the red, but I love a pretty pink to go with grey... One of my favorite color combos.

Love always,
Mel

Cozy Grey.. with Cranberry Hunter PINK Wellies

One of the most depressing, yet fabulous years of your life is turning 30! Well that was me last Thursday. I am officially an adult.. lol

On of my fabulous 30 year old birthday presents was a pair of Pink Hunters.. or Pink Wellies as I have been calling them. At first, I wanted a pair of red ones, but after seeing these pink ones.. It was love!!! They are called Cranberry Pink. I wanted a pair that weren't too bright but had a pretty color and stayed in the pink family. I really love these and so happy that BF picked these out for me. What a guy!! Pink has always been a staple to my wardrobe. It defines my girlie-ness, and a little of my character. I thought BF picked out the perfect present for me, especially since the slush and rainy weather has landed these days.

I have always wanted a pair of pink rubber boots. It's sooo much easier to walk puppy in these and give my poor UGGS a break from the salt and slush.

Over the weekend, BF and I visited a bunch of his friends for a 30 year celebration (some of his friends were 30 also), so since it was more of a casual visit, I decided to wear my new pink wellies out. I paired it with a long grey sweater that I scored at Marshalls for $15, and a long pair of tights that I got from Old Navy last year. I wore my Swarovski stud earrings, my pandora bracelet, a beaded bracelet, and my Tiffany & Co key necklace I got in Vegas a few years ago. I finished it off with my long flow-y scarf that I have been obsessed with this season. BF's grandparents got it for christmas last year and it has been one of my favorites ever since!!

Here is a shot of my hair and make up for the day. Clean and Classic, nothing over the top. I applied self tanner to my face and body, so it gives my skin a bit more of a glow. Also, I am LOVING that my roots are blending so nicely with the rest of my hair. I am enjoying how healthy it is becoming again. As much as I miss blonde sometimes, this is a great change for me, plus I don't have to worry about the brass.

Hope everyone is enjoying their evening.

Hugs and Kisses,

OOTD & Mini Product Review: Heat Protectant

Hey everyone!

I hope everyone is having a FAB day!!!

Today at the office was a killer day. The clinic was sooooo busy, and the fact that I am still learning... sucks for keeping things running smoothly.. Uggghhh.. It's so frustrating when you are learning a new job, trying to keep up... I still like it though!!! No doubt about it!

Anyhow, just wanted to show you my OOTD. Once again, my whole outfit (excluding my shoes) are from H&M. I only have 6 outfits that I started out with, so once I get my new paycheck.. watch out malls!! lol

Top - H&M  $19.99
Skirt - H&M  $34.95
Shoes - Franco Sarta $44

This is more of a plain outfit.. but I LOVE the detailing on the skirt. It's a giant bow!!! It looks pretty flat in the pic, but when the skirt is on, it scrunches a bit and gives the most beautiful look!! I absolutely love this.. However, I am looking for ideas on maybe a colored top to wear with it (keeping it very professional still). If anyone has any suggestions.. PLEASE let me know. I was thinking maybe a baby pink top. I want to keep most of the focus on the skirt as too much detailing gets a little out of control..

I need a safety pin for the top. It kind of flares out where my boobs are (not that I have much anyway..lol) but you can clearly see my bra. My mom gave me a lift home from work and she was like "ummm.. you need to fix that.. double sided tape maybe??" It wasn't awful, but definitely noticeable. I was wondering why people were starring. My bra was clearly on display.. sheesh!

Also... really quick product review! I have been using this heat protectant each day when I have been curling my hair.

Sally Hanson Hyper Hydration $7.99

I don't use this when I blow dry my hair.. just when I curl it. I find too much product in my hair is too much, especially since I have only been trying to wash my hair 2-3 times a week. Less is better for me!

When I grab sections to curl my hair, I just spritz a little on, then curl it. It doesn't help keep the curl, but definietly protects it. You know when you see the steam? Steam is GOOD!!! It means the product is protecting the hair. It is soooo important to use a heat protectant. I have no complaints about this product. It's light, non greasy and does what I need it to do.. Thumbs up!!!! oh.. and cheap too.. BONUS!

Anyhow, it's getting late and I need to get some beauty sleep. Enjoy your day/night and I will see you all soon :)

Hugs and Kisses,

OOTD: H&M

Work has been exhausting so far. I am soooo glad tomorrow is Friday. I feel this week I actually DESERVE a few days off. I have worked another 10 hours today and I'm so suprised that I'm actually functioning right now. LOL.. Each day has been getting a little easier, so that's helped me plug along. BF told me this morning that I look like I'm on auto pilot.. lol.. I think I was all day!!!

Anyhow, this is the outfit that I wore today. I realized after I downloaded the photo, and also looking at my skirt, that I spilt some oatmeal that I had this afternoon on it... Pffft.. when it comes to clumsy-ness.. I am the Queen! I totally thought I spilt oatmeal somewhere, but now I'm embaressed because I probably have been walking around with it on my skirt for the afternoon. I'm such an idiot!! :)

Today's outfit is all from H&M.

Top - H&M - $24.95
Skirt - $49.99

I thought the bow was so cute & girlie

Since I have been on a budget, H&M has really helped me out with my first bunch of outfits. Everything was reasonably priced. I wore the same pencil skirt with skinny black patent belt that I wore on Monday (because I believe in wearing a piece of clothing more than once before washing it.. as long as it's clean, which now I will have to wash it). It was a little warmer today, so I paired it with a light grey bow top. It's more of a slinky material, so it was super light and comfortable!!!

I am wearing strap-y flip heels from Le Chateau. My feet have been burning from trying to break in my heels, so wearing these strap-y sandles gave my blisters a break, and a chance to breathe and heal..

Anyhow, gotta make my lunch and take a quick shower before Jersey Shore starts!! :)

Love ya!

OOTD: Zara and H&M

I FINALLY got through these past couple of days at my new job!!! So far, I am exhausted when I get home. I have been working 10-11hr days. It won't normally be like this, but for the first couple of weeks, I need to learn how to run the office and clinics. I absolutely LOVE it so far, but I can't say my stress level is anywhere but up high... ugggh.

I always find it so frustrating starting a new job. I hate not knowing what I'm doing most of the time. I'm kind of just going with it and hoping for the best...lol.. So far, the people have been really sweet and helpful, and I actually get a bit more independence. I do miss my old jobs, but I definitely really like what I've seen so far with this new one... My boss is great, my co-worker is the sweetest, and people I've met throughout the hospital have been so helpful. I don't care if I have to spend 10 hours a day. I want to do a good job, which means putting in the time and working really hard!!!

I just remembered that I haven't had the opportunity to show you my new outfits. As you know, I haven't had much time these past few days, so here is the outfit I wore today. There wasn't a clinic today, so this outfit is a little more on the casual side, but I love it!!!

Top - H&M $19.99
Skirt - Zara $49
Shoes - Black Patent Franco Sarta $44

I want to apologize that it's not the clearest picture. I either have dust on my mirror (gross) or my iphone is just bad!!! Christmas I'm asking for money towards a good camera with extra perfect focus!! LOL

Anyhow, like I said before.. This is just a simple outfit. I absolutely LOVED this Zara skirt. It's a navy blue pleated tulip skirt. I only saw the blue one, but I think there might be a few different colors. I am really loving navy blue for this fall season.

I wasn't really thrilled to wear my black patent Franco Sarta heels with this outfit, but right now since I've just started this job, these are my only really good pair that are dressy and not crazy funk-ti-fied. I want to get a pair of nude heels. I think it would go better than the black. I was thinking about wearing white heels, but then I thought it would be a little bit too matchy matchy!

I also kept my jewellery very simple. Just wore my Swarovski studded earrings and nothing else. Simple.. simple.. simple.. with a side of plain too!! lol. Also, It was raining out when I got home, so my hair is disgusting and gross. Sorry.. lol

Anyhow, hope you all have a fantastic evening and stay tuned for my next OOTD. If you have any suggestions for work clothes, please let me know. I only have about 6 outfits lined up. When I get my first paycheck, I will be hitting up the stores again :)

OOTD: My LOVE for Abercrombie Shorts

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to post a really quick photo of my outfit today. Soooo.. I am well aware that I have been living in these light destroyed Abercrombie cut off's for a few days now. I promise you they are CLEAN!! LOL

I know it may sound a little gross... but I try to wear my things a few times before washing it, otherwise my clothes would be destroyed by the washer.. I need some good suggestions for detergent if anyone wants to share what they use. I am a bit sensitive to strong smelling soaps and detergents, so if you girls know of any that are tres amazing, especially for color... comment below and tell me pleaseeeeee! Thank you :)

Today I just kept it simple because it was super hot outside. I am wearing a dark purple-y grey tank from Old Navy, and my light destroyed Abercombie cut off's...again...lol.

For jewellery, I just wore my Swarovski studded earrings. I love them.. they are soooo sparkle-y!

Here is another pic from a distance... Ummm...maybe I should've smiled??? lol

My nailpolish that I'm wearing is Nicole by O.P.I called My Lifesaver. It's an almost exact color match to Tiffany & Co. It's such a beautiful color!

Hope you all are having a super duper day. I'm off to paint my toes tonight and watch the finale of the bachelorette!!! Who do you think she's going to pick??? I was so disappointed watching The Men Tell All last night.. I totally wanted to see some drama with Bentley. I WISH he was there. I would've loved to see everyone pepper him with questions, especially Ashley!!

Have a great evening :)

Love,
Mel

OOTD: Casual Saturday

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to write a quick post to show you my VS PINK tee that I bought a few days ago. It's super soft!!! It says "LOVE PINK FOREVER..They have lots of fun colors to choose from. I decided on the grey because I have so many colored tees and wanted something neutral.. I really love off-the-shoulder tops these days.. It's super fun and cute! I just paired this top with my Abercrombie cut off's that I had on yesterday. I'm not doing much with my hair this weekend, just side braids, ponytails etc... I am just letting it be, and give it a rest from heat and styling :)

Anyhow, hope you are enjoying your weekend so far. I had a nice evening last night with BF. We BBQ's some chicken sliders and turkey hot dogs. So Yum!!! I may have indulged in a glass of red wine too...lol

OOTD & Remy's New Friend!

Saturday!!!!

I'm happy it's the weekend, but... I have to work..BOOO!  However, I am working with some pretty awesome gals this weekend so that makes for a great work day. OMG don't you just hate working with someone who drives you frigging insane, that the thought of working with them makes you CRINGE??? hate that!!!

Anyhow, this is just a quick post today. My OOTD yesterday evening was just a simple V-neck, lime green top with my cut off's. My hair was in a loose slanted braid. Not much excitement, but I was super comfortable!!!

I decided not to wear any jewellery. I just wore some light grey flips and that was pretty much it!! I love bright colored tops in the summer time. It just adds that nice pop of color to an outfit that is oh-so-simple :)

The top is from Aeropostale and my shorts of from Abercrombie. I think I need to to cut off those hangy strings from the bottom...LOL

AND...

Here is puppy!! I bought a top from Victoria's Secret PINK and I got a little PINK dog for free!! I thought I would give him to puppy. He absolutely LOVES this little toy dog. I think it's his new bestie.. He takes it everywhere with him, even outside for a pee...lol.. He will not let anyone take the dog from him. Puppy literally guards it..hahaha. Love him!

Anyhow, hope everyone has a great day!

Love

OOTD: Weekend Outfits

Hey everyone!

Hope everyone had an awesome weekend!! I am NOT ready to go back to work... I LOVE being on vacation, but who doesn't right?? LOL..

I just wanted to share with you what I wore this weekend. I didn't really get a chance to dress up like I wanted to. I was hoping last night BF and I would've gotten all dolled up, but we didn't. We just kept it on the more casual side.

Here is Saturday evening/night outfit. (sorry, the lighting sucks)

You can't see my feet in these pics because I can't seem to fit my whole body infront of this mirror. I am working on fixing that, so you can see my entire body... feet and everything...lol. The top is an off-the-shoulder one from Dynamite in dark grey. I wore my white American Eagle shorts (which I have been so obsessed with lately.. just so comfy & cute!!). My shoes are a pair of white pumps from Steve Madden. I wore diamond earrings, my Tiffany key necklace, and a sparkle-y ring.

Sunday's outfit

I paired these with my light pink flip flops from Old Navy. The top is from Forever 21, probably one of my favorite summer tops that I own... And yes.. my white American Eagle shorts. I'm not terribly gross, I actually washed them last night after we got home from dinner..lol. I didn't wear much jewellery because it was really humid today. Jewellery just made me feel uncomfortable!!!!

P.S Every time I take a pic for OOTD, puppy is in the back passed out!!! lol... love him to pieces!!

Hope everyone has a nice evening :)

Hugs & Kisses,
Mel

OOTD: Black & White

Hey everyone!

I know everyone is LOVING that it's Friday...but not me!!! It means that my vacation is almost done :( I have to go back to work Monday. BOOO!!! I really could get used to this "not working" kind of life. Please can I just frigging win the lottery???

Last night I went out for drinks for BF's brother's bday. We went to a patio. I had a great time. I just LOVE sitting out on a patio for a couple of drinks in the summer time, one of my FAV things to do. I actually didn't have any alcoholic beverages, I had like 4 cups of coffee...lol. I don't know why, I was just craving a coffee. It was just a tad bit chilly, so that probably added to my coffee decision. The bugs weren't the greatest, but it didn't ruin the night out. Although I think I should've worn shorts, because I have HUGE bites on my legs...gross!!!

Anyhow, this is what I wore out last night.

I wore a black with kind of puffy sleeves I got like 2 years ago from Club Monaco. You can wear it normally, or off the shoulder. It's a pretty flexible shirt, one of my favs!! I also wore my new white American Eagle jean shorts. Me LOVE these!!! My hat is from H&M. I got it not too long ago. It was $7. What a steal!!! Unfortunately, I decided to take my hat off when it got dark. I thought it might look a little funny wearing a sunny hat at night..lol. My hair still had pretty waves and not too much hat head which was a plus for moi.

(I added this 2nd pic in so you can see my hat better. Sorry, the lighting sucks)

Here is how I did my make-up. Just very light and fresh!

I just wore very subtle jewelley. I added my Tiffany "key" necklace. I also had on just some sparkle-y earrings with a tiny dangle.  You can't see my shoes (sorry, next time), but I wore my Costa Blanca wedges that I got for like $19.

I have been starting to line my lower lashes with dark brown eyeshadow. I feel like it gives off a more softer look and I love it!!!

- Laura Mercier Silk foundation, topped with M.A.C Studio fix powder to set.
- NARS laguna bronzer & NARS Orgasm blush.
- M.A.C vanilla as a highlighter on my brows and cheeks
- NARS belissima eyeshado duo on my lids.
- M.A.C fluid eyeliner in dipdown (great gel liner btw)
- L'Oreal Million Lashes mascara in black
- NARS lipgloss in turkish delight

I should've taken a better pic, but my lighting is either really bright, or really dark. This is the best I can do.

Anyhow, hope everyone has a nice weekend. I have a latisse update for you all without mascara. I am just LOVING my lashes these days. I can't get over how much more I can see them in pictures now. YAY!!!

What is everyone up to this weekend?  Comment below and tell me :)

kisses,
Mel

OOTD & The Lovely Blake Lively

Hey fellow friends!

Hope everyone had a fantastic day. I'm super excited. One week from now I will officially be on vacation... So damn excited!!! BF and I are laying low this year. We were going to do Vegas again or New York City.. but we are doing our fence in the backyard (puppy's so excited!), and it's a little pricey, so we thought we would just do something around town. We are going to head up to my aunt's awesome cottage for a night or two (thank you Auntie M and Uncle J). Puppy is going to be ubers excited. He is a fish. He just LOVES the water!! I'm glad because if it's hot outside, the water cools him down, plus.. he gets crazy amounts of exercise. I just love my waterdog. The only thing I absolutely hate.. is fighting with him to brush him after he's had a dip in the water. If you have a golden retriever, you know that the hair is so frigging long...lol

So, I have had requests to do OOTD posts. Other than my F21 Haul posts that I did, I don't really know how to do an OOTD post very well, but I thought.. what the heck, let's give it a go. Some of my favorite blogs are the ones with OOTD posts. I always love to find new things to love in each and everyone's style and I'm noticing that I'm drawn to these kinds of posts and also real pics of the people actually wearing the clothing and not from a website. I might as well just go to the website and see it right??? lol.. Anyhow, here is what I wore today!

So the sun was super shiny, sorry the quality isn't the greatest, plus I'm super pale.. note to self: Get an airbrush tan quick!!...lol. I decided to wear my Abercombie shorts, my forest green tank from Forever 21, my off-the-shoulder top from Costa Blanca and my forest green flips. For accessories, I wore my dangly Forever 21 earrings and my heart and key necklace from H&M. This is just a super casual outfit, nothing much to it. I just felt like being comfortable today.

The second pic I took was to show you guys the back of my hair...lol.. I decided to curl it today and this is how it turned out. I have naturally wavy hair, so today I just embraced it with the curling iron. I used to curl my hair with my straightener, but I like the look of the curling iron best!!!

Also, I just bought the new Glamour magazine with Blake Lively on the cover. I used to be such a fan of Gossip Girl. I watched it like everyday pretty much... reruns and everything...lol, so I just loved her and her character. She is beyond gorgeous and I'm so happy she's getting some good media lately.

Here are some photos from little miss beautiful in her July 2011 Glamour feature...

Ummm... can I please have her hair??? Holy luxurious and such fun styles. This girl is so photographic and so style inspiring... I just love her. Also, look at that cute little pup.. omg so precious!

Glamour is one of my fav mags that I tend to flock to when I am standing in line at the grocery store. I also love Instyle and all those celeb gossip mags... They are my guilty pleasure..haha

What's your fav magazine(s)?

Hope everyone has a great night!!!

Kisses
