Final Latisse Update: 16 Weeks +

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to give you my final Latisse update. This time, I have mascara on to show you the full effect. I made these pics super-sized.. because I really want you to see the difference. The top 2 pics are how my lashes look today, the last picture is the lashes I used to have. The results are amazing!!!

Here is an older pic of me to show you the kind of lashes I used to have and how they photographed in pictures with mascara on...

What a difference huh? As you can see, it doesn't even look like I have any lashes!!! It just looks like I have eyeliner on... Seriously, I don't think I can discontinue using Latisse. However.. it does get expensive!! There is a product called Lilash. A girl from my work used it and said it works really well. It comes in mascara tube with a wand for application. One bottle of Latisse costs $150 and lasts for 2 months. One stick of Lilash costs the same, and lasts for 6 months. They pretty much do the same thing. Actually, I was looking online and saw comparisons between Latisse and Lilash, more than half the people thought Lilash was just as good, if not better than Latisse. Weird huh?

Anyhow, I am beyond happy with Latisse. It gave me lashes that I can actually see in photos. It lengthened to give me the look of false lashes, yet they are are my own. I couldn't be happier and I'm addicted!!!! LOL

I have one more bottle of Latisse to use, then I am going to try the Lilash and see how that works. I had one side effect with using Latisse, and that was at the beginning. I had dry eyes, and they were a little red, but other than that, I didn't get anything else.

Has anyone else tried Latisse, if so, what were your results like? Comment below and tell me. I used Latisse every single day (without missing a day), so I followed the applications exactly the way I was supposed to. With this last bottle, I am only applying one application, every other day so keep them long. The bottle will also last me longer, so that's much better for my wallet.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day!!!

Latisse Update: 8 Weeks

Hey everyone!

I wanted to give you a quick update on how my Latisse is going. It's been over 8 weeks now since I first started using it. I have used it everyday since I started it without skipping a day. For some reason, it was always the #1 thing to remember to do before bed time...lol.

Here is a pic on how they look at 8 weeks. The longest they can grow is when I reach week 16. That would be the MAX length. After that, I just have to maintain it. I wouldn't have to use it everyday, but maybe every other day or every 2 days.

This is with NO mascara on. You can see that they are thicker, darker & definitely longer. Apparently I am only half way through, more length and fullness is supposed to come.

Here was week 4

and here was week 1

I just wanted to include these because I hope you all can see a difference like I do. My lashes in week one were very blonde, sparse and short. In week 4, they darkened and started feathering out more. I can really notice a difference in how they are today, especially in my pictures with eye make-up on.. For me, I ALWAYS used to try and wear falsies, but they irritate my eyes and I don't like them, even though they look gorgeous on people!!

I have found my eyes to be very accepting of the Latisse. I had irritation at first, but after week 4, both eyes were all fine and dandy with NO irritation and/or redness.  I didn't have any darkening on the eyelid that some people have gotten as a side effect. I only apply Latisse on the top lash line, never the botton!!

Has anyone been using Latisse? I know a few people that have and I can definitely see a difference in their lashes. This stuff definitely works and I 100% recommend it to anyone who is looking to add some attention to their eyes!

I will report back after 12 weeks has past with another pic :)

Have a restful and amazing night!!

White Shorts & Mini Latisse Update

Hey everyone!

I wanted to let you know that my post about "My Meal Plan" needs to be re-posted. I actually deleted that meal plan part because I'm actually embarressed of how AWFUL it must sound to everyone. I was in such a hurry when I was writing it, that I totally re-read it and realized that you all MUST think that I eat that exact meal, like everyday... O.M.G, I'm a goofball. I was reading my reader's comments and I'm like.. ok, I need to read what the heck I wrote. I realized that my meal plan sounds "doucheball-ish". Sorry everyone. I will be fixing that post into a whole new one, but focusing on meals that I eat on a day-to-day basis. I must sound like I eat nothing...sheeeesh!!!

Anyhow, I wanted to share a quick post about my new white shorts that I just got. I got them on sale at American Eagle. They are supposed to be a bit longer, but with my short-ness, I decided to roll them up just a little and I found they sit much better on me.

I just LOVE them. I find that they go with everything and are super cute!!! I find though, that they do stretch just a little, so I bought them a little snug so that when they stretch, my butt doesn't look super saggy...not sexy when that happens :(

I also wanted to show you a pic of what my eyelashes are looking like lately. I have been using the latisse for just over 8 weeks now and they are GROWING!!!! I will take a pic tomorrow of them with NO mascara on them. This is just a silly pic that I took to try and show you a little... IF you can see them at all... I am the WORST photographer ever... before.. my eyelashes could NEVER "feather" up like you can see in this pic. In fact, before using latisse, you could barely even see my lashes in any picture, even close up. This is a huge step for my lashes... when I look up, I can feel them touching my brow bone... LOVES IT!!!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Tomorrow is a very special day... It's July 4th!!!! It's also BF and I's 4 year anniversary... Gosh, I just love him! We are going up to my aunt and uncle's cottage with puppy for a night. I'm really excited because we can just relax!!! I also can't wait to see puppy have some fun in the water. He is a doggie fish!! LOL

Love you all

MAC Buys & Latisse Update Week 4

It's a beautiful day in the neighbourhood.....

Hey everyone :)

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Sorry I haven't posted for a few days, but I had such a busy weekend that there was barely enough time to breathe. I had a wedding to go to Saturday and Sunday BF and I went to see his cousin's gorgeous new little baby girl. I think I fell into baby heaven for a bit there..haha.

The wedding Saturday was a cocktail wedding. It wasn't the "traditional" wedding, but it was tastefully done and everyone looked great. The only thing I didn't like, was my heels sunk into the grass because it was held in the country in like a backyard kind of setting. Since my heels were white (hence "were"), they got really dirty. My favorite part of the wedding was the deep fried pickles!!! I'm not sure if anyone else loves these, but oh-my-goodness...I was in heaven. I could've eaten every one of those times a gazillion...yum, yum YUM!!!

Ok, moving on... Over the weekend I managed to pick up a couple of things from M.A.C. I feel like I haven't spent any time with M.A.C, so my trip there was awesome!

I have been looking for the blush pink cult and I haven't been able to find this blush ANYWHERE!!! I think maybe it kind of came and left? Lots of beauty lovers rave about this blush, so I thought..."hmmmm, must try this" and now it's nowhere to be found :(

With that said... I found another blush that ended up looking so pretty and an eye-shadow that was beyond stunning...I would like to introduce you to...

Eye-Shadow in Shale & Blush in Pink Swoon

Aren't they beautiful colors??? I really LOVE the eye shadow color because I'm really liking purple this season, so this is a really dusty, almost plumb-y, taupe-ish color. For anyone who has blue eyes, it really brings out the color. I wore it to the wedding saturday and was really happy with it. It looks darker than it actually applies...understand?? I just dusted it over a light base color into my crease and blended it outward. Then..I stood there and just sucked in as much mirror time as I could looking at it from every angle...LOL..yes people, I am a strange person!

As for the Pink Swoon blush, I was pleasantly surprised to really love this color. I know it looks a bit "poppy" of a pink, but it actually goes on very light. It doesn't make your apples clown-ish or anything, it just gives a beautiful hint of color. It's very buildable and very matte, so no shimmer for people who aren't fans. It's a gorgeous color for everyday. I love NARS orgasm, but sometimes I prefer just a matte finish, so this blush is perfect.

I then... ran out of money, so I had to say good-bye to M.A.C. Until next time sweet beauty counter...until next time..LOL

I also wanted to give you a Latisse update. It's been about 4 weeks and I wanted to show you a pic. Now, I have been instructed that I won't be able to notice much of a difference until 8-12 weeks, but I have already noticed a difference. Not so much in length (although I have noticed they are a tad longer), but I've noticed most of it in the color. My lashes are naturally blonde...uggghhh, but now.. they are coming in darker, like black which I'm amazed by!!! WOOOOOHHH. I'm really happy can you tell?

K, Look at the picks. The first pic is the very first pic I took. The second pic is the 4 week mark. See the difference? I took it at the same time of day for each. I know the lighting is just a tad different, but I think you can tell the difference no?

What do you think? Do they look longer? I know, it's hard to tell from the first pic, but hopefully I will notice a huge difference by week 8. I will keep you posted.

Alrighty, I'm gonna run. Gotta go get some dinner because my tummy is yelling at me :)

Hugs to everyone and comment below or visit www.formspring.com/colbyavery and tell me what you did this weekend and especially if you have any M.A.C loves that are your CLW's..(can't live without). I need an excuse to go visit again...lol

Mother's Day, Latisse & My NEW White iPhone

Hey everyone....

Sorry I have been M.I.A for the past couple of days. Work has kicked my ass and I totally struggled this weekend with getting any possible sleep. My body hated me and I think if I posted anything, I would probably be grump galore.

I had such an awesome time celebrating Mother's Day with my mom. She came over for lunch. We had quiche with a colorful salad topped with my fav... craisins... omg, those are delicious!!! We had a nice coffee, chatted, then took puppy over to the park for a run.. It was beyond gorgeous outside. Even though I was struggling with staying awake, I was really happy she made it over to our house and got to visit with us. My brother and I gave her the traditional mother's day bouquet of flowers, so hopefully that warmed her heart a little, because it did with mine. Thanks momma!!!

I have to announce... I FINALLY GOT AN IPHONE!!!! I'm so happy! I have been using BF's like no tomorrow because I was so in love with it. He was so excited for me to finally get one of my own.. his cell bill likes it too...lol.. The best part of this iphone... it's WHITE!!! I have wanted a white iphone since it first came out. I have held off for so long because I was sure this white one would come out... and it did!!!!!

Here is my precious!

 Puppy..love him!!!

This is a clear case that I bought. You can barely tell this it's there. I wanted all the white to show

I am so happy I got this. I have already downloaded a couple of free apps to use and I am much happier with my phone. I have converted to apple and possibly never going back!!! lol.. There is talk of an iphone 5, but I figured, who knows when it will really come out. Plus, I have wanted this white iphone forever, so I'm super pumped that it finally showed it's beautiful face.

P.S Sorry the pics are so dark. I had to hide the flash because it would just reflect off. Hopefully you can see it ok.. YAY for white!!!!! it's so girlie...

Ok. One last thing I have to let you in on. I have officially started using Latisse. fistpump!!! I have been wanting to try it for so long!! This girl that I work with has the most thick and lucious eyelashes that whenever she talks to me.. I literally can't stop looking at them. Anyhow, she told me she uses latisse and all her co-workers at her other job uses it, so I NEEDED to just try it out, even if it doesn't work. Apparently it takes about 2 months or so to see results. I read that Kim Kardashian, Brooke Shields and others have used it before and said it definitely works. The lashes are supposed to grow long, thick and darker. I just have to apply a thin layer on my upper lash line every night before I go to bed. It's really straight forward and simple, even for the blondest of blondes...Frig.. my lashes are blonde, short and sparse. I hate wearing fake eyelashes because they always peel off.. Trust me, it's so embaressing to be out somewhere and someone says to you..."your fake eyelashes are coming off"... Please, can I hide now?

Anyhow, here is my before shot of what my lashes look like. I have absolutely no make up on. This is au natural baby!!!

I wish my camera was a little better quality, but oh well... you get the idea. Plus, it is so hard to try and take a pic of your eyes with them closed.. I obviously wasn't very good out of it. I nearly took about 30 shots before I found a decent one to show you...lol

Here is what the latisse is

So all you do is put a drop of the latisse on one of the applicators directly on your lash line and... voila!!! that's it!!!

I will report back in a few weeks with another pic. I doubt I will see a difference, but hey... you never know! I really hope this works!!!

Anyhow, gonna go get me a glass of wine and relax. I'm getting in bed early tonight because I'm back at work bright and early tomorrow morning.... gross!!! I have been working for like a million days straight. I need a break :(

love to all
xoxo
Mel

P.S If you have used Latisse or know anyone who has, comment below and tell me. I would love to hear any results people have seen. Also, what did you do for mother's day? What are your thoughts on the iphone? So many questions...lol
