Happy Friday Everyone!!!
Finally! The weekend is here. I can actually rest my eyes for a bit now without having to worry about getting all dolled up. Pink Eye Update: I thought the pink eye would have gone away by now but it's still red as ever. I know it's only been a couple of days but honestly, I'm so sick of this. My eyes just have a raw feeling and all I feel like doing is sleeping it off, along with my sore and achy throat. Apparently pink eye and a sore throat go hand in hand. I'm already developing a scratchy voice. Being sick is just annoying more than anything, so I'm just going to shake off this sore throat and hope by drinking lots of fluids, it will pass sooner rather than later.
ok! So after my serious post from yesterday, it's time to lighten things up and bring us back to an excellent beauty review from... moi!
Today I want to tell you about Clinique's 7 Day Scrub. O.M.G, is this ever a CLW product!! Since I have spent a few days at my mom's house looking after her fur-babies, I have used this once or twice in the shower to exfoliate my face. This is incredible! The beads are super fine and just makes your skin glow. It gives you that "just had a super awesome facial" feeling without the price of a facial. It's also a beauty award winner, so that always sells me too..lol
I don't know why ipad doesn't let you upload a photo but I'm going to have to edit this post later on the laptop when I get home so you can see what it looks like. update: I managed to get to my laptop, so here is the pic...
I would recommend this product to use once a week since it really scrubs those dead skin cells away and leaves skin super amazing. I wouldn't do it anymore than that. You don't want to irritate your skin more than you have to. I also love this product because I have sensitive skin and this didn't irritate it at all. It's also a bit creamy and really gets rid of those blackheads that are hard to reach. That's a major selling point for me because I get blackheads and ewww! Who wants to be talking to someone and all you can see is those gross black dots all over their nose!?! Whether you try this product or not, please... everyone invest in something or squeeze those babies out. lol
I would definitely recommend next time you are at The Bay, Sears, Sephora, try and see if you can pick up a sample of this product because we all need (men included) a good scrub for that baby bum, super soft feeling where you can't stop touching your face because it feels THAT silky. Who doesn't wan† glowing and baby bum soft skin???
I'm also so happy it's sunny outside today. Next week I'm hoping to make it downtown Toronto to the Eaton Center. I want to use my gift card from Victoria Secret and get the Barely Bronze self tanner. I heard it is amazing! I have tried their "Barely Bronze Gradual Tan" and it was perfection! So with that said, I'm uber pumped to try the self tanner. Apparently my all time favorite VS model, Marissa Miller wears it and since she I have the biggest "girl crush" on her, I would try any product that would get me THAT MUCH CLOSER to looking like her, especially the amazing tan she has. Can't wait to try it. I will report as soon as I get my tan on.
I am also going to pick up NARS "orgasm" blush. I have heard non-stop crazy, awesome reviews about this blush that I NEED to try it out for myself. It's a peachy-pink color and from the Beauty Guru's on the web, they swear by it. Again, when I get home, I will post a pic because you need to see it for yourself..GORGEOUS COLOR!
It also comes in "super orgasm" which has a more shimmer so I def wouldn't mind trying that, because I like to wear more glimmer on nights out on the town.
NARS hasn't disappointed me so far, their bronzer in "laguna" has become my CLW and I think I've only used the NARS bronzer and no other since I've gotten it. Love it!!!
I hope you all enjoy your friday. Hopefully I can post tomorrow if I'm not too swamped with stuff. I am hoping to have a closet purge. I have so many clothes that don't fit me and I just don't wear anymore. So I'm going to fill up a few bags and send it off to a clothing donation. I'm also going to try and download some new tunes on the ipod. I love some good running music that keeps me pumped becasue I'm getting back to the gym (hopefully tomorrow) so I will need some upbeat tunes to get me moving. If you know any good music that gets you super pumped to workout, email me, or let me know on my formspring page at www.formspring.com/colbyavery
Big hugs and kisses,
xoxo
Mel
