I just wanted to tell you that I am so excited about my new purchase. BF and I really needed a new duvet cover. It's so hard with our room because as much as I would like to have bright white bedsheets (which will be in the guest room), I need something that's a little more able to withstand BF, me and also the pup..lol
Since we have been going for more grey-ish tones throughout the house, we picked a duvet from West Elm. That store is so great btw.
Anyhow, I ordered this monogram duvet and shams. I also have to keep in mind that I needed BF's approval. He likes to help in making the decorating decisions, and doesn't want the house too girlie! lol. I think this set is a good compromise.
I ordered the set a few weeks ago and now it is being shipped as we speak!
I absolutely LOVE the stripped look. I think it will look nice with our dark furniture that we have in the bedroom. I know it will still get dirty, but at least the striped will help mask it.. hopefully! I had the option to get it with writing or not, but I thought the writing was super cute, so I got it to say "his" & "hers". It's also in the same green color (BF liked the green, originally I liked navy, but that's ok). Also, just the pillow shams have writing, the duvet cover doesn't at all.
I think this would look super cute with some all white pillows tucked in there and a pop of color of a little pillow or teddy bear or something on the bed.
Anyhow, just thought I would show this to you because I am super excited to finally get rid of the awful comforter we have on there now... It used to be purple, but it so disgusting that I cannot wait to throw it out!!!!
