Have we been blessed with someone's birth?
Is something special about this day?
A new year beckons, with the suns first ray.
Difficulties are a matter of past,
Our hope promises to outlast.
Today we start a new inning,
A bright and shining, fresh beginning.
The Mayans predicted doomsday,
Won't we prove them wrong?
Make every day our winning day,
Taking each day headlong.
New are the aspirations,
In making are the resolutions.
Overflowing are the ambitions,
May we conquer all the bastions.
A canvas vast is the new year,
By God's grace, through it we will steer.
Promising to bring lots of cheers,
Going beyond many a frontiers.
A new year means new opportunities,
Wish we win those desirable trophies.
Brighter spirit, Stronger thoughts,
May our life shine in hundred watts.
