Hair Update: A little fix to my recent color

Hey everyone!

I know I have been overloading you all with my hair photos. This whole "Going Darker" thing is a lot more of a pain than it should be sigh.. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE how healthy my hair has become, and am loving a change to my look etc.. but there was one thing that I did update since my last color, and I had to share it with you.

I always love love love what Cayla does with my hair. She is amazing! The only thing that was bugging me, was the contrast of blonde to the dark brown. I wanted it that way because when it fades, it will blend nicely, but it was driving me crazy and I can't wait... lol

Anyhow, over this past weekend, BF said maybe I should break up the blonde and buy a dye closest to the color I got, and just color some pieces so that it blends better while I'm waiting for it to fade out. BF actually picked the color. I think it was Nice 'n Easy Medium Cool Ash Brown. It has a more purple-ness to it for that ash-y effect.

Anyhow, the color matched PERFECTLY! I only did a few pieces in the front (I left the back alone), but I just left the color on for about 5 min, just to cool down the brown. Some pieces I left on longer to match the brown I already had. I am in love with it now!!! I also think it looks much better on me this way. BF likes it too!

Take a look...

The blonde in the front is way more toned down.. LOVE IT!

You can still see subtle highlights blended throughout my hair

I know it almost looks solid, but it's not. There are very subtle highlights blended throughout, which I love! I love the color because it's a nice, rich color. I'm not touching it anymore now until it fades. I hope it doesn't fade orange-y *crossing fingers*

Anyhow, just wanted to update you on my hair situation. I was terrified to do any at home coloring. Like I said before, I didn't do my whole head, I just pulled through a few pieces in the front to tone down the blonde.

What do you think?
