I am SOOOO disappointed that Big Brother isn't on tonight. I have been waiting for this finale to come, and I totally thought it was tonight!! AHHhhhh, so upsetting. For anyone who watches Big Brother.. who do you want to win? I am totally Team Rachel.. this girl deserves to win!!!
So first, I really just want to say that my heart goes out to all the American's today. I know today marks 10 years since the terrible NYC tradegy. I am sending all my love to all the families that lost their loved ones. It was an awful thing that happened and since New York City has such a special place in my heart, It saddens me beyond belief. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone.. I love you all!
Over the weekend, I managed to to get my hair color refreshed... Going darker is awesome, but since I have been so blonde, the dark fades really quick. It's only been a couple of weeks, but I knew that I would have to get it refreshed sooner than I normally go.
I saw my oh-so-fab, colorist, Cayla.. Every time I go to her I feel like she totally understands me and what I love. There are very few colorists that you start to go to that you can say you 100% trust them. Well, I totally trust Cayla. Every time I leave the salon, I feel beautiful and fabulous!!! The time always goes so quick that I almost need to book extra time just so we can chat... Love her!
Since I just got a refresh on my color, I didn't get any highlights done. Since I have been starting with doing the Balayage (ombre) look, she just pulled the base color throughout and on my roots. I am wanting to go darker each time, so this time (without going too drastic), she did a little bit darker.
Before you look at the photos... I need your opinion! Do you prefer me to make my pictures large, or do you like them just like I have normally been doing them? Comment below and tell me.
Ok.... Take a peek!!
This pic was taken outside in natural light. (Sorry about the grump face, don't ask..lol). This is the closest pic that I can show you as to what the actual color looks like. She didn't do any highlights, just refreshed the base color with a darker tone. She also used a toner afterwards to take away any brassiness. I really LOVE IT!!!!
These next shots were taken in my house, still natural light, but you can see that I still have lots of blonde throughout. My roots definitely stand out a lot more, but this is the look I'm going for... Blended & Natural!
I love how my blonde is still the more white-ish blonde. I think both colors really compliment each other. Plus, different angles gives different looks, that's what I LOVE about the Balayage look.
I don't know why I haven't done this look sooner!!!
Anyhow, I think Cayla did a great job. Seriously.. if you live in my area and are looking for an awesome colorist.. GO TO HER!!! Especially if you're blonde.
She also recommended a really good conditioner to me from S-Factor called Serious Conditioner. I totally bought it and am really excited to see if it makes a difference in my hair. I will do a review on it in after I have used it a couple of times.
One last thing that I have noticed... my hair is becoming super healthy!! Since I haven't been bleaching it, I am already noticing a huge change. It's more moisturized, more shiny, and I can brush it without worrying if my hair is going to break off, and I'm totally serious about the last one!! My hair is really thin and fine, so even though I was bleaching it, I had a BAD experience years ago from it being too overprocessed.. so I always worry in the back of my mind.
Anyhow, I'm almost done my glass of wine, I'm going to take a nice, hot bath, paint my nails (dark purple-y I think), then get ready for bed. I'm on days tomorrow, so 5am comes extra early in my house!
Love ya!
