I don't know about you ladies... but how much FUN is it to be a girlie girl?!? Since I was a wee little one, I was ALWAYS loving the cute dresses, loved getting my hair all prettied up... and picked up the shoe love obsession before I could even speak... lol
My mom totally dressed me up! She always did my hair nicely, and put me in cute little dresses and skirts. I always loved trying on high heels and jewellery and pretending I was a lady. I would get into my mom's make-up and clothes and just "work it" like I was on the runway...Did you ever do that when you were young? *sigh* I really miss those days. Can I please turn back time?? LOL
I was also sooooooo into Barbie. I had to have every Barbie and Barbie accessory they had...lol I also loved the plastic make up and princess costumes. oh-my-gosh, I couldn't even tell you how much I adored My Little Pony....So FUN!!
When I got a little older, I wanted to get into the read make up ASAP. At first, I had crazy "clown" phases with make up. My cheeks weren't pink enough, my lipstick wasn't bright enough, and my face wasn't powdered enough. Blue eyeshadow was my favorite.When I look back, I'm pretty sure I went through the "What was I thinking" phase when I looked back at pictures. I also thought that I had to use the WHOLE bottle of hairspray each time I did my hair.. I looked terrible. I wish I had a pic to show you. Not good at all!!! lol..Thank God my mom showed me the way. She taught me how to apply make-up, how to wear it so that I wasn't a teenie bopper prostitute. Thank you mom!! What's the saying? Apply make-up like you aren't even wearing any? Probably the BEST advice that I ever got. If I ever have a little girl, I can pass on that wisdom so she doesn't make the same mistakes that I did.. :)
To this day, I have always loved getting my girliness on... I always love to do my hair, nails, make-up and dressing up!! I even love shopping for cute undies and bras. I always have to have the most girlie, flowery, sparkle-y, lacey, fun bras and panties when I hit up the malls and boutiques. Anything that just makes me feel pretty. I think that's why I LOVE Victoria's Secret so much. When I walk into that store, I just feel at home. I don't think you can get any more girlie than that store. They always have the prettiest, cutest and sexiest under-gear that I have come across. Even their pj's are super adorable...Me loves them!!!
There is just something so fun about being so girlie, even when some days I just like being in cut off's and a old boyfriend tee. I just LOVE everything about being a female... well except maybe the Pdot thing... but whatever.. It's actually a great excuse when we feel like we just want to embrace our bitch-ness haha
I just get so excited when I have a night to myself where I can pick up super sized chocolate bar, some trashy gossip magazines, rent a good girlie flick (like P.S I love you... oh-so-fab!!), put on a very scary but soothing facial mask, paint my nails and just veg!!! What a great night!!
I used to always be embaressed of buying so much make-up, too many heels, spending a crazy amount of time on my hair. To me... it's FUN! Until I got into reading blogs, watching YouTube channels, I hadn't realized how many people in this world are just like me!! I thought I was freak-ish because I loved all this hair and make up business.. Blogs have helped me find a place in this world, and I'm so happy that blogging can let me share with whoever wants to read about my girlie loves... It's no fun telling BF my beauty buys, or the latest Michael Kors bag that I want. He just rolls his eyes and tells me that "It's too expensive Mel" So that's why I have my lovely blogging readers!! Love you all so much. Thanks for sticking with me through good and bad days.. I'm thankful to have you that are interested in my life and my beauty buys...LOL

I'm on my way out to the gym, but I just went to get some groceries today and thought... Hmmmm, I might do my next post as a What's in my grocery bag? I am eating much better than I was before. It could be fun to share with you what I get at the grocery store....
