I just wanted to show you my new hair color. I have wanted to go darker for quite some time now. I had a whole bunch of pics to show Cayla (my hair colorist). Since I have been so blonde for quite some time, I didn't want a drastic change to start with. Soooo, she had the best suggestion for me...Ombre!!! She had a book showing me models with the ombre effect. I absolutely LOVED it!!! It is a subtle change, but it is drastic enough where people can tell that I went a bit darker.
She didn't touch my blonde that I already had in, She just lightened up a bare minimum, with very skinny highlights so that it blended nicer. She added a demi permanent dark color instead of permanent... just in case I hated it, it would at least wash out quicker. I really love it, and I'm glad I am going darker in stages, rather than a one step shot...lol. I also really love the demi permanant because it's a lot more gentle on my hair and also made it super shiny too... BIG BONUS!!!
Anyhow, this is how it turned out.
I am supposed to have roots with this look. Right now they are just minimal, but I'm hoping to go longer in between appintments, and just get a few skinny highlights painted on the next time and keep this ombre look for awhile. I will probably do a darker base each time I go. I also tried to get the pic as clear as I can, but I have to use my iphone and it's not the best picture taker device.
