Hey everyone!
I'm BACK!!! Sorry I have been M.I.A, but I have had such a load of stuff going on over the last week, that I haven't even been able to sit my butt down and blog, even just for a second. I have also been having a tough time over the last week with BF (we apparently are both on P.M.S mode) that I found myself constantly stressed and upset. We are ok now, the cloud has passed, but times were tough and I just needed some time. Unfortunately that's what relationships are about right? going through the up's and down's. I feel though, when we do get through a fight (small or large), we almost feel more connected if that makes any sense. We are back on track and everything is ok now.....lol
Anyhow, BF and I went to my long time friend, Nicole's wedding over the weekend. She look gorgeous as I knew she would. She is one of those girls who is always so well put together. I am so thrilled she married the man of her dreams and I wish them a life of happiness and FUN!!! lol. The wedding was incredible. There was so much delicious food, I was beyond stuffed!! I definitely had a food bump going on. My favorite part was the photo booth they had. That was a riot because you could use props and stuff. I got a few photos done and got to take them home with me. Some of them were so funny!!!
I wore my new Zara dress. I didn't get a chance to take a full length shot. I will be wearing this dress for another upcoming wedding of BF's cousin's in August because I am so strapped for cash that I can't afford to buy too many dresses this year. Plus, I absolutely LOVE this dress and want to get the most out of it this year.
Here is a shot of my hair and make up. I wanted to show everyone my hair because since I got it colored, it has calmed down quite a bit (which I knew it would). It's always very drastic at the beginning, but that's because the lowlights also fade like crazy after the first 2-3 washes. This is why I love the color about a week-2 weeks afterward. The lowlights fade to the exact color I love. I find it blends nicely together and not "skunk-like" as one of my reader's pointed out...lol.. What do you think?
On another note, my neighbourhood just got a Sally Hanson beauty store!!! I'm so excited because I just LOVE that place. They have such awesome nail and hair stuff. I joined the beauty club for $5. Now for the next year I get at least 10% off each purchase. YAY!!!
I have been obsessed with buying these adorable Sally Girl nail polishes. They are tres cute!!!
They are like a quarter of the size of a regular nail polish and only cost $1.39 Canadian funds. The girl told me they last up to 3-4 applications. Sometimes I find that I NEVER can use a full polish without it going "gross". These polishes come in so many colors, so I decided that I wanted fun and spunky colors to try out, without the high cost. Also, they dry almost instantly...double bonus!!!!
I don't know what the exact names are, but the peachy-pink on the far left, the white, and the blue go on sheer. They have slight color, but are more of a pearl kind of finish.. does that make sense? The far neon pink color goes on solid without any sheer-ness to it. I have been obsessed with brightness for this summer. The brighter, the better. I even wore the neon pink color with my Zara dress to Nicole's wedding this past weekend. LOVED IT!!!
Does anyone else love Sally's? If so, give me some recommendations and comment below to tell me!!!
See you back tomorrow :)
Hugs,
Mel
