Happy gorgeous day out today!
The sun is shining, the birds are chirpping and no clouds in the sky. What a perfect day. To be honest, my stomach is NOT liking me today. I had a coffee this morning with some yogurt and cereal. Almost immediately after, I started feeling sick to my stomach...I have no idea why my tummy is feeling so yucky, but I've been downing the water to see if it will flush this awful feeling away..nothing yet :(
So over the past weekend during my crazy "no sleep" weekend. I managed to meet a gf of mine at the mall for a little get together. I picked up a couple things from LUSH because I have become insanley hooked on their stuff, and there was something I have been wanting to try so bad.
I picked up a solid shampoo. I forget what the name of it is though...sorry!
I also got the tin to go with it.
So I have heard awesome reviews about the LUSH solid shampoos. They are supposed to last for months..happy!!!! plus, they are sulfate free and silicone free...bonus!!!! These shampoos are all natural ingredients and when you touch this solid shampoo to water, it instantly turns into liquid and lathers up. You can directly put this on your wet hair in the shower. I originally wanted to get the Jasmine one, but when I was in the store, I was telling the sales girl there that I really am having a difficult time growing my hair out. She told me that this cinnimon one is good for that. Apparently the spices in it will stimulate your scalp and help the growing out process to work better?
The smell is a little strong for me, but when I shampoo'd for the first time with this, the smell instantly disappeared. Thank God!!! I was really impressed with this. I have only used it once, but since my most favorite shampoo is more than half way empy (my beautiful CLW, Pureology), I thought this would be a great shampoo to alternate with. I am honestly done with regular shampoos. I am all for the sulfate free, organic ones. I have noticed a huge difference in my hair because of it.
This LUSH shampoo really made my hair super soft. It felt clean!!!! I only used this on my scalp and not through my whole head because when you rinse your hair, the shampoo just glides down your hair and cleans it anyway. It's just a more gentle way of washing your hair. I've noticed a big difference doing that too, even with Pureology.
I will have to update you as to my hair growth and if this does help...I hope so!!!!!
Does anyone have any hair growing tips that worked for them?? if so, please please please tell me!!! I am also starting to get my hair trimmed every six weeks now. I hate it because I don't want them to cut much off my hair, but I heard doing that, really helps it grow long.
Ok.. so the other LUSH love that I got was the "Honey I washed the Kids" Soap.
This soap is more than incredible. It's sent from the God's!!! I absolutely adore this soap. Since LUSH cuts soap based on weight, I only got a piece for $4 to try it out. It even has little honey suckle or whatever that is, on top!!!
I really love this, if you go by LUSH, you should definitely try this. It cleaned my sensitive skin without any irritation, plus, it's so lightly scented that you don't get a gross headache with it.. It is also so hydrating, I almost didn't have to use moistuizer after I used this. Love love love love and beyond with this soap... Welcome soap... to the CLW clan. You have made the cut!!!
On a side note: I tried to trick BF. I had a shower the other day and afterwards used the LUSH massage bar as my moisturizer, but only a little. Since BF said he hated the smell, I wanted to see if he would notice if I just used it on my legs. O.M.G he noticed. lol... he's like "didn't you just shower because something smells awful!!!" Crap!!! it didn't work :( I guess he really can't stand the smell of that one. I wonder if they would take it back if it's already used???
Do any of you have a fav LUSH soap or any of their products that you absolutey love??? Tell me, because I only get to go to LUSH every so often, so when I go, I want to be able to take some receommendations from you guys!
P.S I'm also not that impressed with my experience there this time. I had the best girl help me last time I was there. This time, my gf and I got such an annoying helper that we seriously wanted to ring her neck. She wouldn't stop trying to demonstrate stuff to us and all we wanted to do was look around. Don't you hate that when you're browsing through a store and the sales person doesn't leave you alone??? Frig, such a pet peeve! I hope she isn't there next time :(
Hope you all have a fantastic day!!! I have been really eating much better lately. I downloaded an app on my iphone that is a calorie counter called "my net diary". I love it. It even lets you scan bar codes which is super fun. It really has shown me that I am eating way too many calories a day, and my sodium intake...holy off the wall!!!! Must work on that :)
XO
Mel
