Sunday is my most favorite day of the week because it's a day of relaxation!!! BF and I had a more busier weekend, well I had to work, so maybe that's why it was a little more busier than usual. Friday evening we had dinner with BF's buddy and his lovely wife. I just love those two!! They are probably one of my favorite couples to hang out with. You know when you just feel like you click with people?? well these two are in that category. Plus, us girls got to shop around for a bit after and gosh we are dangerous!! She's probably the one person that I would go into debt after a shopping spree...lol. But yes... we went out for dinner at Yorkdale mall to a place called Moxie's. Yum Yum, but afterwards thought.. shoot, we should've went to Milestones!! I forgot how much I love their bellini's!!! Well, it just gives us a reason to meet up again. I LOVE yorkdale mall. It's giant, luxurious and filled with all my fav designers. I'm pretty sure I got stuck in the Marc Jacobs store and Louis Vuitton for a bit. It also has one of my fav home places... Crate and Barrel and Pottery Barn. A little pricey but I just walking through them and picking out home stuff for my home wish list.
So before we met up for dinner, I dragged BF to Sephora and Holt Renfrew because I was dying to get a few things.
I picked up the NARS Orgasm blush that I wanted. Seriously, every girl needs to have this blush in their make up mix. This is a fav by so many beauty gurus, make up artist that I have read and watched reviews on. I put it on yesterday and I could see why this was a CLW. I love it. This is probably the perfect peachy pink. It got a hint of a glittery/sparkle look to it, but it's so mild and just perfect! Seriously girls... this is a CLW. It's sooo pretty. Also, I tried the Smashbox blush in flush.. and I love it too. I was going to get that as well, but I really needed some other stuff so I thought I would wait and pick it up next week. I mean come on... I have to give my newest blush member some attention.. On a side note: I just love NARS. I seriously cannot get enough ofo this line. Everything is just beautiful! The lip glosses are oh-so-gorgeous colors. Plus, I am loving the "laguna" bronzer that I have. It is the best bronzer I have ever used... EVER!!! Go get this stuff, you won't be disappointed.. promise!!
I also picked up the Laura Mercier Silk Foundation in Medium Beige. I usually hate liquid foundation as I have mentioned before, but people rav about this foundation and I needed something with more coverage wihtout the look of it being too heavy. I was aiming to get the Make up Forever line or even the MAC line, but when I went in and had the girl put the Laura Mercier one on my face, I was instantly inlove.I also tried NARS's liquid foundation and loved it too, but I ended up going with this one because it gave more of a flawless look, matte look. It's a liquid to powder finish so I don't really need any powder, only just when I need to touch up my nose when it gets too shiny throughout the day. The color is a little darker than my natural skin, but because I'm self tanning and summer is getting here, I figured if I'm going to have this for awhile, a tad darker isn't going to hurt. Plus, you don't need much of this stuff at all. I'm planning on getting a beauty blender, but right now, I'm just going to use a damp make up sponge to apply this. The foundation is a little heavy, but again, you don't need much because if you have a damp sponge, you just dab on a little and blend throughout your whole face. It's a beautiful finish and I'm so happy that I picked this one out instead. I really love it!!!!
I went to Holt Renfrew because Sephora didn't carry Bobbi Brown. I really wanted to try the gel eyeliner because it's supposed to be amazing and the best gel liner on the market right now. I'm waiting for my Sigma brushes to come so for now, I just used an angle MAC eye brush that I have to apply it. I love this liner. I really love it!!!! The girl recommended that I get "grafite". It's a navy blue with a little hint of sparkle. It looks almost black. It's a gorgeous pick. After using it yesterday, I am SO HAPPY that I bought it. I don't need a lot. I don't even need to wet the brush. Since it's gel, it's ready to use when you dip the brush in the color. Hello Gorgeous!!! Two thumbs up for this purchase.
I was looking into getting the Yves St.Laurent Eclat Highlighter pen. I know it's pricey so I thought, maybe on my next Yorkdale trip. Remember, I'm saving up for items, so I have to stay in my budget.
I didn't realize that Yorkdale had a regular Victoria Secret. I thought they only had the PINK store, so I didn't bring my gift card with me... Arrrrrrgggghhh.. I finally found the VS Beach Sexy self tanner I wanted, so because it was only $14, I ended up buying it.
So I was so excited about the self tanner, but I was even MORE excited about my VS bag!! I love the pink VS bag they give you at checkout. Oh-so-adorable!!! I heart VS. While BF chatted with his buddy, Ash and I went into VS and oh gosh.. she just made me fall inlove with this little bedtime onezie. Adorable-ness to say the least. It was so cute, that I can't wait to get it for summer. The feel of it was so soft, I was instantly jealous that she had one and I didn't....lol... Looks like I know what I will be using my gift card for now.
Ok, on to this self tanner. I have already used it twice. haha. I wanted this self tanner because as you can see, you can adjust the level of tan you want. I wasn't sure what to start with so I started on a really light color first. The light color gives you a glow. It's not just of a tan, but a glow-y look and super natural looking. I wanted to try a darker color so yesterday after I showered I tried one click below the middle line (see pic above). It showed in a couple of hours and it is gorgeous. My skin is so pale that this color gave me a really nice beachy look. I'm going to stick to this color or maybe the color on the line because it's not summer yet, so I don't want to look too dark.
I'm really happy with this purchase becasue it's a nice self tanner. It's got a bit of sparkle to it, but overall I really love it. Like any self tanner, it doesn't show wear it goes so you have to play with it a bit, but I love that you can control how dark you want to look. For $14, this is amazing and I will definitely be purchsing this again!!!! I love it!!! I like it better than the L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Gel. This VS one dries almost instantly and you don't need to slather it on, you just rub it in like lotion and it's definitely a more bronzed color, than the average tanner.
All my purchases were a success. I was browsing through Bath and Body Works because I love their scent, Carried Away! I didn't end up getting it because I need to finish up some moisturizers that I already have. I thought maybe they might have a candle that smelled like it but no... Oh well, next time.
I'm also looking for a good body scrub for sensitive skin. I'm going to be making a trip to the store Lush because I've never used their products and apparently it's amazing for sensitive skin. I am dying to get a bubble bar. I have heard such awesome things about it, so I really want to try it!!!
