Happy Good Friday Night Friends!
I know I was supposed to post yesterday but I was so exhausted and I had a lot to get done in a short amount of time. Today I had to work day shift, then off to my mom's for a fantastic turkey dinner with all the trimmings (especially turnip... mmmmm my fav!). I just got out of the shower and while BF watches his sports, I thought I would post before I hit the sack for another looooooooooooong shift at work tomorrow morning. I seriously have to be up by 4:30am because I have to leave at 5:15am. Sometimes I wonder why I can't be with the normal workers...sigh!
So I had the opportunity to order a new luxe box by loose button. To be honest, I wasn't that thrilled this time. I was excited for the surprise when I opened it, but most of the products were just kind of blah... With that said, here is two items I got from luxe box and then a new Essie Nail Polish. The Second pic are 2 items from luxe box that I did actually enjoy.
So the first pic, I must talk about my Essie first because I was ubers excited about this buy. As you all know by now, I heart Essie with every nail on my fingers and toes. It just goes on super smooth and dries really nicely. I was in Shoppers Drug Mart this week and noticed that Essie was ON SALE!!! I couldn't frigging believe my eyes. Essie is barely ever on sale, like pretty much never! Since I have been eyeinig the nail color mod square , I had to have it with this fantastic discount. Essie is normally like $12.99, but the sale price was $8.99. Anyhow, I picked up this polish and went home and painted my nails immediately. Since I've put it on, I've had several compliments on it... Thanks to everyone who complimented btw. This color is gorgeous and I'm so happy I got it. It's a nice bright pink, but not too over-the-top. It's just the perfect darker color pink! UMMMmmmm.. I Pink i Love You polish!
So with the 2 items beside my sweet Essie are 2 items I received from Luxe Box. I wasn't thrilled at all. I got an Advanced Cellular Age Defense Cleanser, which btw, totally made me break out. It's a nice cleanser, but it must have oil in it because I definitely felt it, or something slimy. My face didn't feel clean, it felt dirty, greasy and just gross almost. I wasn't impressed so I'm gonna toss this item. I don't think pimples will be in style anytime soon. Buh Bye!
The other item was a Lash Doubling Mascara from Clinique. Hated this! Lots of people actually really like this mascara, but for me, because my lashes are short, sparse, no fullness at all, this didn't work for me. It really only enhanced my bald eyes and left my lashes looking so ugly. There was definitely NO lash doubling in this product, more like lash hiding. Gone!
Ok... so with that out of the way, I actually did like 3 items that were left in the Luxe Box. I really enjoyed the Terme Tresses Shampoo and Conditioner in Principessa. It left my hair feeling light, moisturized and a nice fresh clean feeling. I would definitely buy this in full size. Maybe even use in between my shampoos wtih Pureology (which I'm still fully lovin btw... best shampoo I've tried so far).
The last item I liked, which I'm not sure why I like it but I have been using it before bed and it's very moisturizing. It's a Lubricating Body Treatment by Elizabeth Grant. There is no smell, no greasines, just a really nice moisturizer for hands. I wouldn't use this on my body but my hands loved it! This is a great little compact size moisturizer that you can keep by your bedside. I was impressed by it, but wouldn't pay more than like $4 for it in the stores. I just LOVED that it didn't have a greasy feeling and my pores were infused with hydration. 4 out of 5 stars for this.
Something that I'm sooooooooooooo excited that I got, but in sample size form is, Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque.
I have wanted to try this masque forever! I went in to Trade Secrets in the mall to get the actual tub of this, but they had a sample size fore $4 to try. The girl said I can get two treatments out of it so I thought.. Perfect!!! I always believe that trying a product first in sample size first is the best way to find out if you really want to spend the money on the full size product. Some companies don't take products back, some people find it a hassel and just toss it, this is the best way for cheap to try out something. I am so pumped to get this on my hair. The packaging reads: A combinaton of macadamia oil and argan oil along with tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extracts rejuvenate and rebuild the hair. An intense treatment. Use no more than twice a week. I'm really excited to try this. I was too tired tonight to try it because leaving it on for 7 minutes... what the heck and I going to do in the shower for that long? I'm also so tired too, so I thought I would try this maybe Sunday or Monday evening when I have more time. But... I will report back. This is supposed to be an amazing treatment, very moisturizing and very hydrating for your hair. It's also a favorite of some beauty guru bloggers. Do you have any favorite hair treatments? Anyhow, it's getting pretty late and I've gotta get my butt to sleep. I'm already starting to doze off while I'm writing this. Hope everyone had a nice Good Friday holiday and as long as I'm not asleep by dinner time tomorrow, I will be on here to blog because..... I just received my Sigma Brushes yesterday and I have to show you how pretty they are!!!
Love & Kisses to you all
xoxo Mel
