Review on Recently Purchased Products

Good Sunday Morning!!!

Usually on Sunday's I LOVE sleeping in. Today for some reason I was up at the crack of dawn ready to start my day. BF is still sleeping and will probably sleep til noon, so puppy and I have been outside, he has his sunday egg today with his breakfast and now I'm drinking my coffee and decided to surf the net a bit (sephora of course!!). Oh, and about the egg thing with puppy, we feed him one raw egg, every sunday for breakfast becasue apparently, eggs (raw and cooked) are good for dog's skin and coat. We have been finding that puppy's coat is really healthy looking. It's shiny, thick and gorgeous. So, whether its the egg or not, we allow him to have it once a week because he loves it. Also, you can't give an egg more than once a week because it's NOT good for their system and will do the reverse effect if given more than once a week. If you have a dog, then you should try it, or talk to your vet and see if they can have it.  We literally just crack the egg in his bowl, mixed with his kibble, break up the yolk, stir it around with a tiny bit of warm water and give it to him.

Ok, moving on. I have had some time now, to use some new products that I have bought. Usually I like to use it for at least 3-4 weeks before I really either love it and it becomes a CLW or I hate it and wish I didn't spend the money on this.

So, I told you I purchased the La Roche Posay Active C day/night moisturizer

I have been using this for a few weeks now. I still had a bit of night moisturizer left so I have been using this in the morning and so far, this is an AWESOME product. You only need like a pea size amount because it's not necessary to use anymore than that. This moisturizer is so silky when you put it on. I have noticed that it has brightened my skin just a little, but enough that I noticed. This is a definite CLW product and I love that it makes my skin feel fresh, alive and overall, so soft!!! This is a keeper for sure. It doesn't have much of a scent, but why do you need scented products on your face?? This is nice light product, but really moisturizing. It's a cream product, so it melts into your skin fast and dries instantly. I am just amazed on how smooth and soft my skin feels since I have been using this product. I really love it!!!

My next review is Biodroga Special Care

I have also been using this product for a few weeks and I think this product goes hand-in-hand with the moisturizer. I use this every morning after I wash my face and this definitely has improved my skin. I use 2 pumps of this, slather it on my entire face and a little on my neck area. My face has really improved since I have been using it, but the price is not right. Too expensive, but you pay for quality right? I'm glad I tried it and if I was rich, this would be a CLW, but because I'm on a budget these days, this would be a product I would have to save up for. It's so nice and light. I love that it smooths out my skin, shrinks the pores on my face and overall evens out my skin tone. Since I have been using this, I have less likely been getting pimples and it doesn't leave any tightness on my skin or cake-y-ness. It blends into my skin perfectly. WHY does this have to be so expensive??? I really like this!!! Booooooo!

The next review is on a real favorite of mine for quite some time.  It's L'Oreal's Repair Treatment

I cannot say enough about this product. This product better not ever go out of stock because I'm obsessed with it. It's a protein treatment. This product saved my overprocessed hair like no tomorrow. I use this once a week after I shampoo. I leave it on for like 3-5 min and after, just rinse and then condition. If you use this too much, it has the reverse effect, it will make hair brittle. Too much protein is not good for your hair. Honestly, once a week is enough. If you alternate and use this product, then a few days later use a moisturizing treatment, you will see amazign results. Your hair will be so healthy!! Sometimes...and I mean sometimes, I use just a tiny bit and mix it with my conditioner. I don't leave it in my hair, I rinse it out after like 30 seconds. It just gives my hair a little bit extra. You can buy this at a salon, or Shoppers Drug Mart has it. It's about $20, but lasts for months. You only need a quarter size amount. I don't put this on my roots, just half way (like ear area) to the tips of the hair. Try this, it's amazing, especially if you color your hair. It works wonders!

Another product that I just love is Nivea's Summer Touch Firming Gradual Tan and Organics Summer Glow Gradual Tan

These are the creams that I use in between my self tanning sessions. These are gradual self tanners and moisturizers in one. I love both of these. The Nivea one gives deeper results and the Botanic's one is more of a lighter glow. I can't even chose which one I like more. You can see more results with the Nivea for sure. After I shower, I just slather either one all over. It evens out any mistakes I had self tanning and keeps my tan from fading and getting that "dotted" look when it fades. Again, both of these are great. It says it's firming, but I don't know if that's true. I like to believe that it is, but who knows. I got these at the drug store and they weren't expensive at all. Probably like $10 at the most? If you love to self tan like myself, these work great as in-betweeens, plus it moisturizes so that's a bonus too. Oh.. and it's not strong like a self tanner, so it won't give any sort of BOOM color, it's a light tint, and not orange-y. The odor isn't bad on the Botanics, but I can smell a little self tanner in the Nivea because I think it contains more self tanning stuff. I always buy the "dark" because that gives better results. Also, just like any self tanner, wash your hands after, otherwise your palms will start changing color and that's never a good thing.

Hope you have a good sunday. It's pouring here with thunder and lightning. I think puppy is ok. He doesn't seem to get scared. Avery is good, the noise doesn't bother her one bit.

Big hugs and I might post later if I'm bored.

xoxo
