Exfolabrasion,Wish List Books & A POP of Pink...

Good Evening Loves!!

Sorry, this post is a little late but I've been a little busy today trying to get some work done.

For today's post, I want to talk a little about exfoliation, microdermabrasion and some wish list books that I'm totally eyeing :)

So, I know in my previous post that I talked a bit about my love for Clinique's 7 day scrub. This is incredible. I still love it and it's definitely a CLW in my eyes.... love...love...love it!!!

but...

I've started looking into face washes that are also a bit more au natural. The first one is from the line Burt's Bee's.

This scrub is incredible. If you want a more natural based scrub, this one is awesome. I got a little sample of this stuff the other day and I'm inlove. It's not 100% natural, but like 99.96%  natural. Let's not freak out too much people.... 0.04% of non-natural is NOT going to make us run for the hills....really! This scrub is just a must have. I really love it and I plan to finish off my sample and head over to the drugstore and pick up a bottle because an exfoliator is so important to use at least once a week. I exfoliate about twice a week. I don't want my ultra sensitive skin to turn around and hate me, so twice a week is fine, it just depends on your skin.

If you are more acne prone and pimple-y. Burt's Bee's sell an acne scrub too.

So now you have no excuse!!! LOL

Something that I am soooooo wanting to try, is microdermabrasion!!!! I'm such a loser. I've asked strangers before how they keep their skin so perfect... They all said microdermabrasion... WHAT!!! ok, I've gotta try this. I've watched some beauty gurus on their youtube channel and found that you can just purchase an at home kit for the price of ONE treatment at the spa. OK, where do you find this product? well http://www.ebeauty.ca/ has one, it's called Dermanew.

There are a couple of kits out there. I'm not sure if you can order this set above throug ebeauty.ca, but they have another kit that almost similar. So apparently, you use this about 2 or 3 times a week. It has an automatic self timer of 2 min that it goes for. You dot on the cream provided, put on the foam pad, turn it on, then after, put on the scrub looking brush and go for another 2 min (don't add anymore lotion) and then once you are done, just wash your face, rinse the foam and brush with soap and water, let air dry and then moisturize your skin and you're ready to glow!!

There is another brand from Clarasonic that is supposed to be amazing as well.

This one is the mini of the set. It's more pricer than the Dermanew but works pretty much the same. This one runs on the Sephora website for $149. This is part of the Sonicare toothbrush system that was created, but this is called Clarasonic. Here's a blurb from Sephora:

Clarisonic® Mia set, featuring the handy to-go sized version of the original, groundbreaking Clarisonic Brush. Sonic technology first changed the way we clean our teeth, now it's changing how we cleanse our skin. The sonic frequency moves Clarisonic's soft, gentle brush back and forth at more than 300 times per second, thoroughly clearing pores and skin surface.

Seriously though, these are supposed to dimish fine lines and wrinkles, lighten and remove acne scars, age spots etc. This also gets rid of the bumpy skin particles (which I get all the time...yuck!) and more... I am investing in one of these products very soon. I think on ebeauty.ca the Dermanew goes for $88. But... if you think about it, ONE microdermabrasion session is $99, so really, you are just saving both time and money by getting your very own! I will have to report once I've got one of these suckers in my hands. Cannot wait!!!

Has anyone experienced microdermabrasion?? And if so, have you noticed a difference? Please comment below or visit my formspring page at www.formspring.com/colbyavery

So with my love for LC's Style book, I wanted to invest in another couple of really HOT books right now. My first one is from the very famous Posh.. Victoria Beckham called "That Extra Half an Inch"

I have heard amazing reviews about this book. I am a ginormous fan of VB and I'm totally pumped to give this a read. She is just gorgeous and knows style!!! Hello!!! This book is all about her outfits, make up, going out picks etc.. just a bit of everything and her life in general. Who doesn't want to read about this fashion icon???!!!

My next book I am wishing for, is Bobbi Brown's Make Up Manual

I think it's so good to be inspired. I love Bobbi Brown's make up. I told you all in my previous post that I am dying to get her gel liner. Getting it this weekend btw!!! Who doesn't know about the oh-so-famous Bobbi Brown?? and I'm not talking that crazy, weirdo singer...lol

Here is a little blub of what the book is about: This is the book that Bobbi Brown's fans have been waiting for: her 25-plus years of makeup styling experience distilled into one complete, gorgeous book. Bobbi looks at everything from skincare basics to every aspect of facial makeup--from how to find the right color and type of foundation for any skin tone to how to apply every detail of eye makeup (Brows, Eye Liner, Eye Shadow, and Eye Lashes) no matter your eye color and shape. Of course there are never-before-seen tips on blush, bronzer, lip liners, lipstick, etc. And Bobbi looks beyond the face with informative chapters on "Hands and Feet" and "Body Skin Care." Each chapter has thorough step-by-step basic directions for makeup application and easy-to-follow photographs and line drawings, along with Bobbi's expert, yet assuring, advice. and celebrities.

Oh, and btw, I've also found another blush to add to my want list. It's by Smashbox and it's called "Flush"

Isn't the color so pretty??? Ohhh I just love being a girl!!!

So again, I love love love love lovvvvvvvvve that I have such amazing readers. Please, if you have any comments, suggestions, questions, please visit my formspring page at www.formspring.com/colbyavery and/or come be a follower of mine if you have a gmail or yahoo account (they don't let you follow with hotmail unfortunately..booo).
