Blah!!! I have been so tired yesterday and today that my body is half exhausted and worn out and half not wanting to go to bed yet because it's too early :( I did a day shift today and I haven't done one for awhile and my body hasn't yet switched over to regular hours!
Since this is a late post and it's monday, I'm going to be getting my "glaze on" tonight and doing a little self-tan. Usually I like to slather the bronzed glow on sunday nights and wake up monday morning to a goddess tan, but yesterday was too much laziness, so tonight I'm going to be more productive while BF watches his March Madness thingy.
Ok.. So the best Best BEST part about the spring days leading to summer is one awesome tan. I'm sure everyone can agree that being tan just overall makes you that much more attractive... no? If you don't agree with me, it's probabaly because you were born with goddess skin and with that said, I am so jealous!!!
Whether you like to be tanned or not, I love it! I love how it makes me look. I just feel better about myself. I feel like it also makes me look more fit, makes my skin glow. Being so naturally pale just makes me feel like death, like dracula drained all the blood out of my veins and sucked the healthy glow out of me... Ok too much detail...LOL
One of my favorite bronzers in the world is "Bare Bronze" by Victoria Secret. I would have to say this is my #1 MUST HAVE.
This is a daily moisturizer that has a gradual self tanner in it that isn't orange! It's a beautiful bronze glow and isn't streaky because it's a gradual self tanner. It goes on white, but everyday after you shower, rub this moisturizer all over and you can control the amount of bronze look you want. This product is perfection!!! It hydrates your skin along with giving you a beautiful and sexy tan! My #1 people.. I bought this when I was in the states, maybe a little pricey for Canadians to order online, but since VS is opening all around town, I'm sure they would have this product in one of their stores, like The Eaton Center downtown Toronto. VS model, Marissa Miller swears by this product. I was watching her on Ellen and read through articles that this is her Go-To tanner. Who wouldn't want to look like these VS beauties...
I am actually DYING to try the new "Beach Sexy" adjusting self tanner by VS also. I've heard countless amazing things about this one.
Apparently, you can adjust to the darkess that you want in your first use! So if you just want a super sexy glow with not a crazy amount of color, you turn the dial to light. If you want a deeper, truer, goddess tan, adjust it to med-dark tan. are you kidding me??? I have struggled with self-tanners becasue you only get one color and if you hate it, then well... you have to wait til it fades away.. YUCK!!! I mean, at least you can slather this awesome-ness up with the light application first, then adjust along the way to what makes you feel the sexiest! I haven't gotten this product yet, I'm going to head downtown over the next few days to pick this up... I will def review once I have tried it!
My more affordable and CLW self tanner that really works for me. I don't know why, but over the winter months, I have been trying this product and fell inlove. It's L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Gel and L'Oreal Sublime Bronze air brush self tanners.
These self tanners are definitely afforadable. I buy them at Shopper's Drug Mart for about $10-$15. I use the gel on my overall body, even my face sometimes, except for my hands and feet. Those, I use the air brush self tanner becasue it mists out and gives better eveness because I always find my hands and feet get the worst of a tan and go orange no matter what. Ewww! The only thing I don't like about the gel one, is that it takes a long time to dry. I really love it because for me, it gives a cooling effect when I put it on, but maybe others might like the cream more? To Each His Own I guess...
Last but not least, I am dying to find an Tanning Salon or wherever to try an air brush tan. Not the spray tans in a booth, because I really have come to hate those. I always end up looking so orange and so overdone. I don't like to look fake, I like to look glow-y and bronzed. I find the spray tans streak more, ruin my hands and feet where I almost feel embaressed and want to wear mitts everywhere. I'm just not a fan, but that's me! I would honestly love to try the air brushed tan from a professional. If I had an event or something where I wanted my tan to look perfect, I want to know there's a place out there that would air brush me by hand (like where Vinney on JS got a spray tan by a professional).
Anyhow, those are my self tanners I heart and hopefully will heart. When I'm using the L'Oreal Sublime Bronze, in between (I only self tan once a week), I like to use "Organics gradual tan" and "Nivea" gradual tan (medium) becasue those also give me an awesome glow and also helps hide any imperfections that I may have missed with self tanning myself.
Does anyone have any self tanners they CLW??? You MUST tell me. Visit my formspring page at www.formspring.com/colbyavery I would honestly love to hear from you.
Ok, I'm heading downstairs to relax once again. I went to the gym today and BF and I worked back and legs and I'm feeling it, but a good feeling!!!
Thanks for reading friends, I hope you will support my blog and follow me. I would love that!
Nighty night :)
