Happy Tuesday Everyone!
So today is just gorgeous outside. Puppy and I woke up early and went for a nice relaxing walk. I love the spring days when there isn't any humidity, but a fresh breeze where you can wear a light sweater, capris and sandals. Mind you, today I wore a more comfortable pair of shoes because I wanted to take him for a good, long walk. We ran into a whole bunch of new dogs that Remy sniffed and said hello to. He is still wearing his halti because I can't walk him without it.
So on to some beauty... Since I am trying to be more budget friendly. I have already been putting money away for some new purchases from Sephora that I want to share with you. Reading mulitiple blogs from different beauty experts, I have realized that I MUST have these beauty products. Again, since I am saving for them, I am hoping to make a Sephora trip in the next week or so to pick these up.
First up, I have heard countless ravs about Tarte's Amazonian 12 Hour Clay Blush.
Apparently, this blush is so amazing!! Tiffanyd ravs about this and so does a lot of other beauty bloggers. I wouldn't get this blush color, I am leaning towards getting the color "doll face" which is a bright pink. I've also heard "exposed" (which is a more neutral color) looks amazing too, so now I can't decide. lol. From what I am reading off the Sephora website, it says this blush has...
- Vitamins A and E, two natural preservatives that act as anti-inflammatory emollients and protect against free radical damage
- Vitamin C, an antioxidant that fights free radical damage and prevents oxidative stress and premature signs of aging, while brightening the skin
- Amazonian clay, a nutrient-rich, multitasking, skin-balancing clay that reduces dryness and flakiness, improves skin clarity, elasticity, firmness, and texture while removing oil from the skin's surface for smooth application and wear
Can't wait to try it!!!
My next oh-so-what product is Yves St.Laurent Touche Eclat Radiant Touch.
This pen is a luminizing pen that brings light and radiance to the skin, immediately erases any signs of fatigue, and brightens the complexion...so says Sephora. I have heard that out of all the highlighting pens, this is by far, the best! Apparently models, make-up artists, celebrities see this as a CLW product (can't live without). I have also researched on this product because it is pricey, that it is indeed the best because again, I would rather spend money on quality and not be cheapened out by companies that say it highlights and makes you look like you had 8 hours of sleep when really, it doesn't. I want to make sure that I love this product before I buy it so when I'm at Sephora, I'm going to see if I can sample it first. One good thing about Sephora is that you can return items if you have to, even if they are opened.
My next want product is Matte Velvet Foundation.
Usually I NEVER wear liquid foundation. I am so against it because I have such oily skin it always just melts off. BUT... apparently this is the foundation to have. A shine controlling, oil-free, water-resistant, complete coverage liquid foundation is what Sephora says. Again, Tiffanyd swears by this foundation so after watching her videos on it, I need to try and give liquid foundation a try. I usually use MAC's powder foundation, but I would like a more natural look without all the greasy-ness because I'm so "oiled" on the face. I also wanted to try this because sometimes applying powder throughout the day makes me look too powdery, so I'm hoping that with this foundation, I won't have to touch up with loose powder too often. I don't mind a "dewy look" but not a holy crap I can see my reflection in your face kind of look. Anyhow, I'm excited to try something different and if it does't work, then I will go back to what I am using because overall, the MAC studio fix powder that I use isn't bad at all. It's actually the best powder foundation that I have found over the years for coverage.
While I'm in Sephora, I really want to try Benefit's Bella Bamba Blush.
This one I'm definietly going to try on in the store. Again, I've heard great stuff about this blush. Even the actual brush that it comes with is also a winner. Apparently this watermelon blush has gold undertones which gives some shimmer to the face, but not too much, just the perfect amount. It also has a mirror in the box and overall is supposed to be a really pretty blush on. I'm hoping to love this product because I really love most Benefit products overall. We will see. I am going to try and get a pic with this blush on so that you all can see how it photographs.
My last want is Bobbi Brown's Longwear Gel Eyeliner.
Recently, a gf of mine told me about this product. I currenlty use a liquid eyeliner, but she said this is a CLW product for her because it's a less harsh, stays for hours, gel kind of eyeliner. I love my L'oreal liquid eyeliner but I feel like there is no movement with it. I can't blend it, I can only make a line with it and that's it. I wanted something a little more "play around with, more blendable" kind of eyeliner. She said I won't be disappointed with this gel eyeliner and it comes in a few shades, so I don't always have to get "blackest black" LOL.. I am excited to try this and then report back to her with the results!!!!
I have also already put money aside to get the NARS blush in Orgasm
That decision has already been made. Anyone want their blush done? I will have plenty!!! LOL.
Ok, my last last last product that I want you can get at any drugstore. It's the Neutrogena Cleansing Cloths in Night Calming.
These work awesome!!! I have used these before and fell in love. I don't know what happened but I forgot about these. I bought these once when I went away and loved them. Again, many people online and off have raved about these cleansing cloths, especially to take the make up off the eyes. I have only been using my cleanser to do that, I don't even use eye make up remover... I know.. I should... but I won't because if my cleanser gets it off, then why??? These cleansing cloths have a calming scent that is great to use at nighttime before bed. I wouldn't recommend these when you first wake up, but yes... nighttime...mmmmm, dreaming of sleep right now...lol
Anyhow, those are my wants and stuff that I've already started putting money in my little bin towards. I'm hoping that maybe God will love me and put some of these on sale for me...LOL, that would be such a bonus!!!
If anyone has tried any of these beauty finds, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeese let me know. Word of mouth is the bestest review ever! Please comment below of visit my formspring page at www.formspring.com/colbyavery
Hope you all have a great night and I will see you tomorrow!!!!

P.s I would just like to report that I gave pizza the cold shoulder and got a yogurt and turkey sandwich on whole wheat instead. For those who know me.. know... I'm junk food obsessed. I've just started to change my diet because I'm trying to live a more healthier lifestyle, so this choice of food was a giant leap in the right direction. mmmmm...grease!!! NO.... mmmm healthy food that will make me lean...LOL..
Goodnight!
