Happy Thursday everyone. Today I have the day off work and I was expecting it to rain, chilly weather and windy. When I woke up to take puppy out to the bathroom, it was yucky like I expected. During the mid morning it started warming up. When puppy and I went out for a walk it was gorgeous!!! I wore a thin sweater, tights and flats. It totally inspired me that I needed to get rid of this super dark (almost black) nail polish and put on a color that just screams spring time!!!
For today's post. I wanted to share with you my favorite nail colors for spring time.
Ok. So these are my top picks for the O.P.I that I have. From left to right: Do you Lilac it? , I pink I love you, Italian Love Affair and Sweetheart
These polishes never fail me. They go on beautifully and really brighten my mood 100%. I love being able to type and admire my beautifully painted nails when they are freshly done. I have to admit, I have become a little obsessed with nail polish these days. I want a different color everyday. So far, I have been good and tread myself to a polish a couple of times a month.
Here are my top Essie polishes.

Out of all the nail companies, Essie is my fav!!! I heart Essie like no other and of course, it's one of the most expensive polishes on the market. Go figure...I just find it glides on so nicely. I always have perfectly polished nails with Essie and they dry so quick. Anyhow, I just love these colors. I put Merino Cool on my toes today and Fiji on my nails. I've been trying to not waste so much nail polish remover and keep my beautiful spring color on for a couple of days and then go on to another. I have mainly been getting so much use out of all these polishes because I just love all of them so much!!!
I'm not saying the I wouldn't buy any other brand but O.P.I and Essie. If there is a gorgeous color that is in another brand, especially for cheaper, I'm all for it, but I haven't found really anything I love yet.

I am excited to get these, especially the gold and silver sparkles. This girl at my work had the most beautiful nails. She put regular nail polish on, then at the tips, put gold or silver sparkes (can't remember but they were gorgeous). It inspired me and I cannot wait to try it!!! You don't even have to put the gold and silver sparkles overtop of polish, you can wear it alone and it will look incredible!!! I'm not sure if they flake off and leave sparkles everywhere, but i guess if you put a top coat on, that would help a lot.
Anyhow, now that I'm dreaming about these new polishes and looking down on my mini mani & pedi that I did today, I'm going to get some house work started and take puppy for yet another walk. It is seriously beautiful outside, plus it's awesome cardio for me. Maybe I will even take him for a run...Good idea!!!

Plus, I have to say, as much as I just LOVE the fake nails, like the french manicure acrilycs... they are not for me. I love the look of natural nails with polish, even clear polish. I feel like unless you are going somewhere fancy or are a bride or what not...it ruins your nails!! Nail polish gives a pop of color and is a great accessory, so instead of paying so much to get nails "filled", let them breathe and pop on your fav color, you would be surprised how much you will be inlove with the results. Maybe I just had a bad experience with the fake ones. And.... don't get me started on the long, crazy ones that people get that really scare me. You know.. the ones that are so long they literally curl?? Edward Scissorhands anyone?? YIKES!!!
