Remy-licious...My sweet boy

Happy saturday morning!!!

It is definitely not a happy saturday morning for me because I'm working...BLAH!!! but I'm sure it's a happy saturday for most workers out there. I won't see any daylight until 3pm when I get off work, so I'm praying that when I step foot outside, it will be sunny and will brighten my day...lol

Sooo... I HAVE to introduce my sweet boy...Remy. OMG, I love this little guy. He is my oh-so-precious little gift from God and my guardian angel.

Ryan (the BF) and I got him from a breeder in Oshawa. He is 3/4 Golden Retriever and 1/4 Poodle. Technically, he is a second generation golden doodle, but more retriever than poodle. The breeder told us he would grow up to be a more golden retriever look, than the fluffy, curly haired poodle.

He was born on June 13, 2010. He is now just over 9 months old and I couldn't be happier and more proud of him and his progress.

Introducting.... REMY aka "puppy"

Remy NOW
9 months old

Isn't he the most gorgeous puppy? He is definitely most retriever than poodle. He inherited the poodle legs and his face is a little smaller framed but other than that, the vet said he is definitely more retriever. He is also the most perfect blonde color. he isn't golden, he's ash blonde. Pretty much the blonde color of hair that I strive to get everytime I go get my hair colored...lol.

The one amazing thing about Remy is that he LOVES his toys. He doesn't love furniture (such a relief). Although he does love shoes.. yes people, my newest UGGS got destroyed from puppy...I experienced mad/sad for the first time combined.

We crate trained puppy because we felt it was safer for mostly him. I mean, we didn't want our stuff destroyed (the UGG situation was my fault because I didn't close the closet door completely and went up to have a shower). Our house is as puppy proof as we can make it (everything being put away). I think crate training is amazing, at least while they are puppies. I think when he's at least over a year, we will try allowing him to roam free but on a trial basis. Puppy has no issues with his crate. It's like his safe place, his bed. I say "go to bed remy" and he goes with no hassel. He isn't a wild pup either. He is seriously, the most well-behaved little guy, except he likes to jump up, but all in all, he is so good. Plus, he is super friendly, social and is VERY good around cats. I just miss him so much when I'm not with him. I enjoy taking him for walks and also for runs in the park. Once it dries up outside and there is less rain, him and I will be going for some good jogs.. not too long ones becasue the hard ground isn't good for his joints. I try and keep his running around on grass.

You will see so much of Remy on my blog because he is a huge part of my everyday life. How could I not include him?? Love him so much!!!

I will have to introduce you to Avery (my baby girl kitty). She is the queen of the house, but in all fairness, she needs her own post. LOL..

Have a great Saturday. I may post again later on becasue I have the house to myself in the evening and I may cozy up with a glass of wine and put in some Sex and the City episodes to watch. I CANNOT get enough of that show.

kisses!
