After I Get Angry |
~~~~
When expectations are not met,
When hopes are dashed.
I get visibly upset,
My psyche feels gashed.
In such moments dark.
I am no less than a shark.
Spattering fire, spewing venom,
In a moment I am glum.
Disappointment gushes through me,
Buzzes around my head akin a bee.
I go completely seething,
The eyes turn red, the mind fuming.
Aware of my emotions sorry,
Yet such feelings harp.
In such moments I feel beastly,
My soul is a dwarf.
Wish God could spruce up my soul,
Make it less of a ghoul.
Wish the mind could be more calm,
Never be in midst of a storm.
Be less expectant,
And much less blunt.
There will always be rough edges,
Common are such small bruises.
I just wish to be calm and serene,
Let my soul be simply pristine.
Be me more sweet and less bitter,
The soul would be more lighter.
Curb the ire, subdue the anger,
For many questions, its an answer.
Nothing like a mind steady,
It would conquer every boundary.
P.S. Hopefully, the awareness of such feelings of anger and an understanding of the reasons behind its trigger would be one of the first steps to conquer it.
